Me, too. It helps me distinguish the well-built, well-designed models from the cheap junk.

Although sometimes cheap junk has its place also. ;D

That is the whole purpose of starting these type of threads. I could have gotten all fantasy specific like, you are marooned on a desert island like Tom Hanks in Castaway. When you open up one of the FedEx boxes found floating you find a folding knife. None of the other boxes have any other survival equipment. If you could pick what folding knife was going to be in the box, what would you want to find in that box? :D But I chose to keep it simple. :)

After some soul-searching, I'd have to go with the SOG Arcitech. VG 10, Arc lock, sweet knife!

I may be missing something here but isn't a SAK a folding knife or have ya eleminated that sort of pocket knife from the competition ?

A single blade folder would be my Terzuola ACTF he made for me in 89.

A SAK would be my old SAK Champion...........first choice to find in the Fed X box !

BTW have ya'll seen the funny video where the actor pretending to be Hanks gives the package to the Texas Lady and she opens it and there is a Sat Phone inside ...........)

My initial idea was single blade folders, but when someone responded with an SAK I didn't mind because I love SAK's too. :smitten: I've never seen that video, I will definitely look for it though. That is hilarious

I've become totally attached to my Cold Steel AK-47 (G-10). My second-place life partner....after the wife, of course. ;)

    Victorinox One Hand Trekker.
I have it and a Vic. 2 AAA LED in my pocket all day.

I carry a pair for work with a small Stanley pry tool that has seen alot of use and a newer pair for "social events".

That was great! I looked it up after you mentioned it on your last post. I didn't realize it was an actual FedX commercial. I wonder if it was a Super Bowl commercial, it had that type of feel to it. Either way, it was funny. Great post.

Of the knives I've handled so far — Spyderco UKPK.

I suspect I might like a Spyderco G-10 Police, Spyderco Stretch II, or Spyderco Sage better, but I don't know for sure.

I've wanted one for some time now, but the price is beyond my budget.
They're also tough to get since they're so popular.

Have some of his other products, and they are rugged, durable, and nicely "over-designed."
