There is a new version of the Nitecore TIP now that has the lockout feature fixed, so it does not drain the battery quickly. Nitecore Store has reported that all of the TIP units it is selling now on its website are the new version (they exchanged my old version for one of the new units). However, old stock is undoubtedly still being sold by other vendors, so it pays to check with the seller before you buy to determine if it is possible to get the new version in the color you want.
This tiny thing arrived Today and I have pretty high hopes for it! It is a Jetbeam Mini Ti and was on sale right after T.Day so I ordered! It runs on a Lithium 10810 and charges it in the light with Micro USB and evidently the connector changes color to indicate charging or done charging,I have not tried this yet. This is also the only tiny keychain sized light I have seen with a decent clip and it provides for cap brim use too! Even shipped with the chain which is pretty sweet too! 2 speed and 130l claimed high output.9l low I think? Feels pretty nice in hand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've had this Big Idea Design titanium LED pocket clip for a few weeks now and it goes wherever my keys go -- which is pretty much everyplace: Stock photo If I've got my keys, I've got my light. While you won't confuse the 22 lumen light with the morning sun it is danged handy and does the job for me. YMMV, naturally.
Well, 22 lumen as noted above. Not crazy bright, but good enough for when I don't have something more powerful on me.
Very cool. The other week when I got my Ti Olight Mini they threw one of these in the box. 120/90 lumen AAA single battery keychain light. Surprisingly small and bright for an $11 light. My wife snatched it and had it on her key ring so fast that I haven't really had a chance to play with it. https://olightworld.com/store/flashlight/i3e-e0s-black.html
So ive had my Big Idea Design titanium LED pocket clip for a week or so and its been decent. Its about the equivalent of the low setting on my Surefire Sidekick. I like it but I wish it was a touch brighter. Having my keys on the dangler is nice. It really frees up the rest of my pocket and sort of makes the keys disappear.
I really like the idea of this kind of light built into the clip. I also like the short clip configuration.
I've had it a few weeks now and am still impressed with it. The only issue I've had was that some of my thicker belts were a bit difficult to clip on to, so I took a thin file and trimmed the small nub behind the bottle opener.
Yes, on my belt. I should clarify that I use mostly nylon belts, such as 5.11, Propper, Tru-Spec, etc.
The latest one I got doesn't even indicate when it's fully charged, the blue light stays on indefinitely. I guess I'm lucky it even works at all.
