Well, brother, you came to the wrong place!
Wow thanks for all the welcomes, and the good advice. I'll have to unload every thing and take a few pictures. Then see what I can't remember using and decide if I can leave it home. Although just because I haven't used it doesn't automatically mean I shouldn't carry it. I haven't "used" my .45 (I have practiced with it and shout it for fun) but I sure would miss it if I did need it.
Thanks again for all the advice and welcomes.
Ps should I post my pictures here or is there another thread for that?

Just from what we know so far,Matt....there's a very good chance you aren't carrying enough stuff....
Increase your proteins, carbs and liquids, maintain good posture when shouldering your pack, take two aspirin & call us in the morning.
Here's my suggestion
Sparky, that is one sweeeet ride. Do you have a link?
The funny thing is, I know where a similar one is right now! I wonder if my grandmother will miss it?
If you ever needed proof that
EDCing is an addiction there it it's. Stealing from your grandma to support your habit? Lol

^ To be fair, I'd probably ask first.
I find that my EDC is like the tide. There is a bare minimum carry and a maximum loadout and I fluctuate between the extremes. If you can still carry it, it can be your EDC. If you cannot pick it up, You are not likely to be carrying it. Right now, my work gear includes an old laptop in my EDC. That may change if my back starts hurting.
If I didn't use it last year, there's an even greater chance I'll need it next year!
Agree,Kilted1! But I betcha boyo is getting rid of some cool stuff!
You can never over edc, ever.
Better to have it all with you then to be out of luck.
By my own rules the stuff I don't use gets put into a drawer in my desk and after it's settled for a while ( about four years) it will either get put on Ebay, chucked or given away to friends or family.
Last year I had a blitz on sharps and cleared out everything I wasn't using,,,, and that meant I had a hole in my life that needed filling. So it begins again. The only knife I have in the drawer now is a Frank Centofanto which I can't bring myself to use,,,,,,,, I take it out of the drawer now and then,,, flip it a few times,,, check the sharpness hasn't faded away,,,, wipe the blade and then put it back. I need that knife to stop me buying more
Yes I am. Where do I sign up for too much sex?
I can certainly attend to that task for you.
I did it this way... First all I EDC was paper and pen (well not only that but...) and I started writing down...
Whenever I needed a scissors I wrote down, whenever I needed pliers, knife, toothpick, lighter... You get the idea!!
After a month I analysed my notes and decided on my EDC...
When I revised my EDC I did a same thing, only I wrote on paper what I have with me and then I was marking how often I needed that....
Time after time I check out my notes and think what gear can multitask and replace one or two items in my EDC...
Still sometimes I feel I'm over EDCing, though that's the charm of it!!
Obviously, redirection is needed here.
You,Sir, put 'way too much thought into making a 'things that'd be useful to EDC' list.
You could have spent that time browsing EDCF, or making your next shopping EDCF Store shopping list.
Or emailing sveqs, who is funnier than a marrel of bunkeys.
Or emailing xbanker or myself: we will gladly 'red pencil' & correct your list, almost free.
Besides: being too 'organized' here indicates strong tendencies toward 'indoorism'.
We shall call your Travel Agent, and book you on a long Guilt Trip.
Ohhhh... That's what I was doing wrong.... Thank you kind sir for illuminating my dark path...
SARCASM....a free service we provide to all.
There is no such thing as too much EDC,,,,,,, only insufficient bags to carry it in
Almost need the heimlich on that one!
