    Happy New Year!

I have searched for a long time how to carry my EDC, I looked and looked at Pocket Organizers, Skiths and some leather products but none quit fit my needs:

    1) Carry my EDC
    2) FIT IN MY POCKET!

So I built my own, props to Grid-It who I found out after making this make a very similar product, but again none pocket sized though

I love how versatile and accesible it is. well worth £2.50!

If you would like to make your own, you will need:

    1. Elastic 3metres is more than enough for a pocket organiser
    2. Hard cardboard, I used a cutup book cover (see pic)
    3. Stapler
    4. Optional: Duck Tape (or any tape you have around) to make the hard cover extra hard and with round edges.
Step 1: Simply measure elastic tape and staple together the ends to form a loop, do this for the all vertical size (see picture, between cover and stapler you can see an example of how I did this)
Step 2: Do the same for the horizontal ones, this time going in and out of the vertical, if you need some extra space, like I left for my card holder and ipod then leave 2 spaces. Staple together in the back, hide behind vertical spaces.

Sorry I didnt explain myself very well, but its actually quite easy and anyone with elastic and a stapler can do it! Post below if you need any help.

Really cool idea. I like that you can organize it however you like and always rotate new things in.

Its seriously super easy to make, 2 episodes of Homeland to be exact!

The combination of Staples + Elastic is super strong and holds together flat and cleanly.

I'm inclined to agree - they make a pretty decent organizer on their own (link), but you've taken it a step further. Great work and thanks for sharing!

That is really cool and clean looking. One of my hesitations on getting a Skinth is the limitations they can impose. You need to have it settled on what to carry, or get several of the pouches for a lot of money. Not knocking them, for people that can make up their minds, or have the funds, they are gorgeous pieces of work and craftsmanship. But, I truly enjoy the simplicity of this.

I love this idea, thanks for sharing!

I'm gonna try and fabricate a larger version to mount in the lid of my bike's top-case to keep stuff from flying around in there.

Grid-It is 1 sided, smallest size is 7" so not real pocketable, its also not possible to tailor the spaces between grids.

I think they are different products, not competing with each other.
