That gives me the willies. bbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrr. goose flesh.
Veeery cool picture...
Definite freaky stuff. I wonder why Hollywood hasn't capitalized on the way underwater caving can give people the willies.
Neat photo. But deep water and deep holes - especially a combination of both - give me the titanian two-step. Thus, I didn't join the navy, or become a diver or caver - I know my limitations
There are some active cavers in the UK. Some of them have come over to the new world to help do some mapping. I think a bunch went into Cheve which is the deepest man has gone into the earth.
There are some picture of me underground I need to find someday and post. I am crawling in a passage about two feet high for about 300 yards. The passage is pretty wide but not very tall and I got stuck a couple of times. I was wondering what was keeping such a large chunk of limestone from coming down with what seemed to be no support.
That's quite a day job. The picture is very cool.
It's really best not to think about that part too much....
Just keep repeating "it's stayed there for the last 10000 years, what are the odds that it will collapse right now?"
Well, it has happened. There are unknown caves found all the time and sometimes things have stayed the way they are is because no one was there to disturb things.
would like to see that if you get a chance
