    Dan,

The Proteus and gear look good. What is the round object in your 2nd photo between the electrical tape and the flashlights?

Nice setup. I have a black Proteus that I use as my EDC bag. I love it.

I just got mine today and it's awesome! It is the perfect for all the EDC gadgets that I have. The quality is fantastic, but the price is a little steep. I still think it's worth the $$ though. I wasn't real happy with the quality of their Grimloc locking D-ring, but I guess at $9.99 for a 4 Pk. I can't complain too much... :buck2:

    Hi All-

Thanks for the reminder...I have to open a thread about Grimlocs to see what people have to say about 'em.  The Proteus is a great bag that I've used for years.  The one enhancement they could make to this bag is to arrange another rectangular pouch outside the compression straps so one doesn't have to operate Fastex buckles to access a wallet if extra security isn't needed.

That would be nice! That is my only complaint with it...

    The compression straps?

    Hi Gadget Guy-

Were you responding to my post above about having to navigate through two buckles and a zipper in order to access the wallet pocket on the Proteus? The other benefit is that simple modification would allow one to put much less wear and tear on the straps because they would get significantly less use.

Yes I was and I totally agree with you :agree: Every time I want to get into the darn thing I have to open the buckles. I also wish they would make a model the didn't use the straps on the back and instead gave us another pocket. Sorry, but I don't know the proper terms for it.
