How tight?

  1. It’s a hula-hoop on my wrist.

  2. Loose. I can move the watch several inches up and down my arm.

  3. Fairly snug. Just a little play.

  4. Tight. I don’t mind it slightly indenting my skin, but I can’t stand it moving.

  5. I’m using it as a tourniquet.

Poll and title say it all. Just curious about how people who are actually paying attention wear them. I’ve cringed seeing people on the extremes lately.

Yeah, that would be solidly in the tourniquet category. Yikes.

I find that it changes during the day. It's loose when I out it on in the morning but within a few hours it is firmly in place. Whether that is wrist swelling or friction due to sweat I don't know.

That's interesting, I have a metal band so it's set size, and it's tightest when I first wake up, but loosens over the day.

I think it is more of how your body reacts to temperature/humidity. Two things I always wear are my SKX007 on a metal band and my engineering ring (stainless steel). In the winter, especially when outside, my watch is loose (almost to the point where I am considering adjusting the band) and the ring is removable without much effort. In the summer, my watch is noticeably snugger and the ring is nonremovable without lubricant and much much effort.

I keep mine loose enough that I can bend my wrist easily.

My band is soft plastic (original Pebble Time band), but it does indent my skin slightly.

I hate having my watch too tight. If I can't move my wrist fully, it's too tight, even if it's not digging in.

I don't notice this much with my match but I definitely notice that during the day, particularly if it's hot, it gets harder to remove my ring

There's a good 2mm between my skin and the band. When you look at it, it appears tight, but it is just perfect. No squeeze, no indentation, no moisture build up underneath.

None of my watch bands are so tight that I cannot flex my wrist. OTOH, they pretty much all leave an impression on my wrist. My wrist size is right at the boundary between a band leaving an impression or being so loose that the watch slides around. I hate it when the watch slides around, so I am accustomed to the impression on the wrist.
