Cool solution, now where do I get an O ring? Home-depot?
Any auto parts store should sell an assorted set for pretty cheap.
Glad to be of service.
For a cheap solution, Dollar Stores or Pound Shops will probably do packs of bathroom sink washers, and a few o-rings are usually included too.
They may perish more quickly, tho, so a proper autoparts o-ring ought to last longer.
Wal-Mart. Plumbing section. Nice assortment of o-rings in various sizes, in one packet. About a $1 per packet.
Cool! So what else can you do with an O-ring?
Use it to fix a dripping sink. Or as a substitute o-ring on a flashlight; depending on size.
lol, i mean in a way that it wasn't intended (that's the fun right?)
For example, it can be used to make a water bottle holder thing:
which could work well for baby soda bottles:
Anyway, back on topic.
