    It's a science of behavior modification knowned as "Marketing". Every product must project an image to first attract our attention, create a perceived need and consummate the purchase.

    I personally know several dozen manufacturers; some in executive-level office. I have had conversations with many of them. The see the EDC "mentality" as a once-niché practice years ago and a solid source of potential income thanks to fora such as ours. These makers thrive on real-world feedback and in order to do so, they need to have sample products in the hands of their would-be customer base. Many of them have offered to send me samples for review. I don't do reviews and I don't accept samples free of cost. I buy something to actually use it. If I desire, I'll comment selectively.
