I'm a uni student so working from home isn't entirely foreign to me and is totally feasible.
I'm living with my mum and sister right now who have both been told to stay home and not go in to work, and neither of them can work from home. That works out pretty well for me because I have a crappy immune system so they can go out to the shop or the chemist for me and I don't have to leave the house.

As long as everyone is sensible and complies with the lockdown, we'll all be okay

Moshe, as you know, I am in Northern Virginia too. The ABC is open, my cigars were delivered by UPS and the markets have food, so I am set. BTW, you will love this, at the local Giant market recently there was no tuna and no bone broth, so I went to the Kosher section and bought the Kosher broth and salmon. Occasionally it is an advantage being a Jew :) We are doing virtual Seder this year with family in NY, NY and FL joining

Hopefully what we're doing will prevent the Italy scenario from repeating itself. Italy keeps breaking the record of deaths in one day. They just had over 800 die in one day there from the virus. Just the other day it was 400 die in one day.

    French law enforcement here.

Working everyday checking people's pass and clearances to go outside (groceries, health, helping a person unable to move out him/herself...)
Still giving tickets to people trying to play the rules or simply being dumb.
Hearing dumbest questions every single hour.

Wearing masks is forbidden for LEO in France. All masks are for health personnel + "not panicking the people".
    Lack of individual hydroalcohol solutions.
Having to get physical distance when having a meal at the military base, but driving to the field with 9 officers per duty trucks.

I'm not sick nor presenting symptoms. Maybe I have the virus and I'm a healthy carrier.
But because of no screening test available, I don't know for sure.

Brace yourself. We are on day 13 and if my wife clears her throat one more time, she’ll be relocated to the middle of the woods.

Ooooh yeah. And for our US friends, the 80 is percent, not proof. That’s 160 proof.

    I'm so happy we legalized.

Maintaining and consuming my home garden a few hours up the QE2 from @Diezel is greatly helping to maintain sanity during isolation.

My fondest hope is that we as a race can learn something from this, that all the suffering won't be for nothing.

    Best wishes to you all.

That's interesting... I'm from Detroit (aka "Motown"). THE hometown beer brewery was Stroh's. They also made ice cream -- seems to have been a residual holdover from the Prohibition era here in the US. If you try to Google Stroh's beer you may have a bit of trouble. The brewery was bought out some years ago. Rumor from my friends still living in Detroit is that the label, though not the brewery itself, is coming back....

Yeah, I realized that. Heck, when I was an undergrad we had keys to the reagent lockers... we'd come in in the morning before our first lecture (@7:30 am!), run some reagent ethanol through a 4 ft charcoal column to try to 'somewhat' reduce the taste of the denaturant, mix with some orange juice from a freshly 'sonicated' orange, and stroll into the lecture hall. :). Those were the days.... :)

Folks, please view and share this video from a Doctor about how to reduce the risks of grocery shopping and take out food during the COVID crisis:

WIfe's into week three of work from home. She's already going stir crazy. She's a "people person" and when her human interaction is limited to just me, she gets cranky.

I have been deemed "essential", so still at work. Been quoting some parts for ventilators from our normally automotive industry customers. They are even less reasonable than normal.

Aside from work and reading, I get busy playing the great game of old - Doom. Just finished Doom 1 and halfway the finish line on Doom 2.
To make it more play worthy, I used Gzdoom with Brutal Doom Mod and DoomMetalVol5.

Forgot to mention, I was not able to reach the last flight back to the UAE, so stuck here in Chicago, in my parent's home, until flights resume, God willing, in the next 10 days.

today is the first day to wear mask (old N95) and gloves to run errands (PO + CPA). I guess that is the new norm.
