Harbor Freight Mechanic's Wood Tool Chest at http://www.harborfreight.com/eight-drawer-wood-tool-chest-94538.html. Normal list is $80, but with sales and coupons can be had for $60 or less, either at store or home delivery. Not the highest quality box, but certainly good enough. Don't forget to add some desiccant packs and replace them as directed. Protect those high carbon steel blades from rust.

That looks amazing. I am totally doing this! And I'll casually bring it out when friends come over... "Take a look at my wares." :Juggle:

I am embarrassed to say that, every single knife I own, that is not in rotation, is stored in a .50 caliber ammo case in the garage. The olive-drab metal case that is something like 10"x12"x6", with a gasket around the lid to prevent moisture from seeping in. It holds a RC-4 (before it was known as an ESEE-4) in the MOLLE strap thing lengthwise, perfectly, which sits there with a 21" collapsible baton, under an avalanche of 50 or 60 folding knives, a couple other fixed blades, half a dozen full sized multitools, and a Bali-Yo. Stuff I use more often sits near the top, and the only knife that has yet to sit in that box is a SAK Classic that is always in my pocket.

There is room for a little bit more, but my knife buying has slowed down since I picked up my stag Pemberton at the beginning of the year. I have more steel than I can shake a stick at, and enough variety to suit even my fickle wants.

I'm embarrassed to show this after seeing all your storage methods. At least they are secure, right?

I have an entire room dedicated to my guns knives bows spears and tomahawks. But thats probably not a possibility unless you want to make an addition to your house.

Pelican 1150. Keeps the collection down since room is limited.
