I've found splitting keychains up can be helpful too (to distribute weight). I keep my car key/remote and house key clipped to a front belt loop. Then my pill fob, keydrive, and jumble of work keys either in a bag or on a carabiner on my side. Makes it a bit easier to get to the keys I use most, and splits the weight around my belt a bit better.

That's is how I carry my keys also, but clipped on my belt just to the left of that loop. I keep my Fenix PD20 Q5 in holster on the belt between the keys and that belt loop so it doesn't slide all around my belt and the keys tucked in that right rear pocket.

I bought a ASP key defender OC spray baton and i threw my keys on that. i stick the baton into my right side behind the hip waistband and let the keys dangle. if i dont like the keys making noise, i pop a rubber band around the keys

For years I kept my keys on a streamlight (kubotan size) flashlight. Tucked into my belt, front or side. Never dropped out, never pinched.

Wow that is pretty slick. Too bad my car uses proximity sensors, or I'd grab that in a heartbeat!

carrabena threaded onto my belt then 8 inches of 550 para cord ring on one end which goes onto the carrabena and keys on the other end, if your going to steal my keys you will pull me over before you get away with them, plus any amount of tumbling and getting thrown about will not seperate me from my keys.

I keep mine in 2 separate rings on a carabiner on my belt. I have 2 rings so just my car keys are on one so as to not put extra weight on the ignition.

My solution to this problem was to split up my keyring into 2 groups:

The first is my keys, I use a Nite-Ize S-biner with the key end taped. I hook the other end thru my belt loop and hang the keys into my back right pocket. The taped end is connected to a key-ring with two of the swiss key-ring couplers to allow me to remove the car or house keys as I need them - this gives them the perfect length for hanging into my back pocket and exposing only the S-biner...

The 2nd is my utility keychain, I keep this in the 5th/watch pocket of my pants, or a cargo pocket if the pants are missing the 5th/watch pocket. On this I keep a LM Squirt PS4, a AA Delrin Battery Locker, a split-pea lighter, and a paracord lanyard for pulling it out of my pocket easier. I find in most of my pants, the 5th/watch pocket is large enough to hold my utility keychain, a Fenix LD10, and a Zebra telescoping pen perfectly.

Does anyone have an alternative to the mcgizmo spring clips? $5 per seems pretty over priced.

I carry mine in my left front pocket. The key ring features my truck's entry remote, a truck key, and one key to my house. Easy fit.
