I've carried this Proton 2 led around my neck 24/7 for a good 10 years. I sleep and work out with it there. The only time I take it off is for showering. It's very bright and so lightweight I forget it's there. When searching for stuff in the dark I just hold it between my teeth. [IMG]

Are you not concerned about the safety aspect of not having a breakaway connect point on that lanyard? You'll probably reply that it's not happened before so why be concerned now.

You are probably correct, that's exactly how I'd respond. Thanks for your concern though.

Here's what I did with a Photon Freedom Covert: I gutted mil-spec 550 paracord, then ran stainless steel ball chain through the sheath. Break away capability and no glare. This was a stealth set up I used on stake outs.

I carry a Pelican 1910 on my leatherman sheath, an inova squeeze light ranger banded to a folts minimalist necker and I keep a black diamond spot headlamp in my back pack.

Also keep a storacell 6 AAA slimline for spare batteries.
