I keep a ten, a five, five ones, and six quarters in my bag. They rarely get used but have certainly come in handy.
I used to keep a $20 folded up in fourths in my wallet in an inner slot w/ insurance and other rarely used cards for emergencies --- then money got tight and for a long while, didn't spend (or have) any cash to speak of. I suppose I should go back to doing that.
I know that the likes of CRKT sell a bracelet with survival items inside, how about storing a note or two in something similar??
When fully worn below the belt line inside the pants, does not print and I can't even tell I'm wearing it. DSCF0249 by ?, on Flickr DSCF0250 by ?, on Flickr DSCF0251 by ?, on Flickr DSCF0253 by ?, on Flickr DSCF0255 by ?, on Flickr
I just have a debit card from a separate bank account with £40 in it in my EDC bag. It's enough to get me home if I do get mugged but if my bag gets lost/stolen and for some reason I can't recover the money, it's not too bad a loss. Just no beer money for a few weeks. I also keep a tenner in the storage compartment of my motorbike. It'll get me a tank of fuel and see me home
I've got $100 dispersed throughout my wallet outside of my spending cash which I try to replenish at least weekly. I keep a similar amount in the front pocket of my Vanquest organizer in my EDC bag which I also keep about 20 quarters in. In my truck I've got 15-20 $1 bills and in the console way too much change, lol.
Spare cash folded flat in plastic in a shoe. Not a biggie to rotate it. For travel I have a calves pouch.
On me, nope. I rarely hold cash. In my glove box I have extra money, in my backpack I have extra money. I'm always around either.
Any cash I'm carrying is potential beer/stripper money so no need to separate it although I do always try to keep £50-£100 in another pocket so I can at least get a taxi home without having to wake the house up whilst I raid drawers for cash to pay the taxi in my most stealthy drunken manner like an elephant wearing clogs apparently. If wearing jeans a few quid tucked into the coin pocket, if wearing a suit a few quid into one of the back pockets because I may lose my jacket if I lose my keks chances are it'll have been a brilliant night out but the divorce would cost me much more than any mugger could ever take.
I spread my money out. Some in my wallet, some in my hat band, some in my cell phone case, all neatly hidden and concealed.
