I have one of those pill/cash capsules that I used to carry on my keychain with emergency money, but my keychain was getting to bulky for my taste, so I had to downsize it. Now I need some ideas on how to carry that emergency money. How do you guys do it? (btw the idea is to be able to get home if I lose my wallet or get mugged)
I carry both a wallet and a card case in separate pockets. My wallet holds main cash and a credit card. My card case holds a little additional cash and a cashpoint/debit card. I can lose/forget/have stolen either of these and still operate using the other. I also have a little extra cash in a grip seal bag in my EDC bag for a "get home" contingency.
Unfortunately none of this options work for me. I don't carry a separate card wallet and the belt is to expensive :\
I keep cash and a card on a money clip. ID, more cash and cards are in my wallet or passport case. I doubt that will protect you from a mugger though. How about sewing a small pocket into the waist band of your slacks?
I cut down an old (plastic) check book cover and use it to carry extra paper money in a different pants pocket. It lies flat.
That's a nice idea. Since I don't have one of those I will probably just use one of those covers for public transportation cards
What about the old money in the shoe trick? A few bills between a few sheets of Saran wrap and placed UNDER the shoe insole.
That's a good idea for traveling. I change shoes too often for everyday. May use that when backpacking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's like Nodust said, I have at least 3 different pairs of shoes that I regularly use and don't have enough spare money for all of them. It's a good idea though. Well unless a mugger takes my shoes haha
I keep my spending cash in a money clip, and spare cash in a wallet with cards, in separate pockets. I also carry a pocket organizer with cash hidden in there. A small card wallet kept separate from your regular wallet will hold some cash, and some of your cards. You can continue to carry spare cash in your pill capsule thing loose in your pocket, just not connected to your keys. What some guys do is carry a second "keychain" with their keychain tools separate from the one that holds their keys.
I normally have a fairly plain-Jane bill fold in my front pocket. Nothing fancy. That said, my phone case consists of a two-piece hard shell, that goes around the phone itself, and a rubberized shell that goes around that. I've been known to keep a twenty or two folded up behind my phone. Works in a pinch.
I keep a credit card, Driver's license, and a $50 in my Maxped Micro EDC pouch. I keep a backup wallet in my car under the spare with a credit card, my passport card, and a $50.
Hello! You can put the bills in the cover of you phone. Or on your key or small pocket in such cover of a face shield (at first aid breathing) best, ric
I need to replace my two spare $20 bills. One is in my ATV bag, one in my Maxpedition Pocket Organizer. I spent my cash on hot dogs and beer. The rest I wasted.
Not enough money. I keep one $20 in a cash stash capsule and I find that's just not enough for the unexpected situation. Now days $20 doesn't go near as far. I'm looking for a solution to keep maybe $100 somewhere.
I just purchased a Tru-Spec BDU beIt. It has a hidden pocket for Hadcuff Key. I use it to carry a folded up 20. But you can put what ever you need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
