So yeah just curious how you guys carry around duct tape to share with the community any ideas would be great but lets see those picz
I use a used gift card or if I want a smaller option, I use one of the reward cards that go on your keychain.
Nine times out of ten I carry it on something that I repaired with it. But in all seriousnes, around a pencil... Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G950F met Tapatalk
I am in love with the baby rolls of gorilla tape myself! They go everywhere! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Gaffer's tape instead of Duct tape. Cardboard tube from my dog's poo bags. Sent from my Android using Tapatalk
I take a length of wax paper from a roll of stickers (used in self-service scales at grocers), wrap it waxed side up round a one inch thick dowel, then wrap couple of metres of 100 mph tape round the wax paper. Then I remove the dowel and flatten the roll under a weight for a day. That way I'll get a flat roll which I can squeeze to make it round again and easily dispense any length of tape. I used to do the plastic card method, but got fed up with trying to get a longer piece out of a flat roll. This way it's way more convenient and faster to deploy.
I've been carrying 100 mph tape lately, since it has stronger glue than regular hardware store duct tape. Gorilla tape would also be quite good, but it's a bit thick. I've also tried gaffer's tape, but I found its glue a bit too gooey, so that it's slowly melting and making a mess in my pocket. But I'm not sure if my gaffer's tape was good quality though.
I've never had that experience with gaffer's tape, not even when left in the center console of my truck on a hot day. I think you got some subpar gaffer's tape.
I may have to try this. I currently carry it wrapped on a card in a pocket organizer, but like this idea.
I carry about 4 ft. of Gorilla Tape rolled around a cut of bamboo skewer, then sealed with plastic film.
I’ve tried the card method and mini rolls they are great from a size perspective but the glue has always ended up melting out onto the edges and somewhat ruining the fabric of whatever it touches not to mention making the tape less usable. I’ve been pondering making a small container/ dispenser out of thickish styrene plastic to combat that situation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
