I haven’t gone back through your entire thread, so this may have already been asked. Regarding your wallets...do you make them for sale or just for personal use? Very interesting designs and really nice leather work.

No problem, thanks for asking and your kind words. I currently don't make them commercially. They have only been for product development, a couple of gifts to friends (quid pro quo for use feedback - There's an internal "tongue" to separate and manage folded cash) and personal use. FWIW, here's my current cadre in service. One of the freshly minted models (RHS) has recently been stamped and printed with philips head screws.

HF's LM PST 1 & II & Mini Tool Comparison
I’m not short of Leatherman multi tools but often find myself choosing and using some earlier models. They have neat and desirable properties and IMHO are still absolutely relevant today against contemporary offerings. For general EDC use where compactness, wight and basic tools are the go then they can still prove to be great value for money.
The following shots should provide some perspective on both open and closed sizes and included tool sets.
Each of the cutting board squares is 1cm or about 3/8” long.

I carry my PST 1 daily and reach for it at least a couple of times.
Still as useful as the day I bought it in 1998.

    BLF 6A / Astrolux S1 / Astrolux S41 et al Clip Mod

It seems the BLF 6A and its brethren models have a pocket clip tab that has been consistently pissing me off.
Sure, the clip and pocket can be manoeuvred to seat properly but it invariably includes some wasted time. The standard design has an adept knack of hook stopping the pocket to avoid seating itself up the clip.
If you know what I mean then this post is directed at you.
I’ve looked over recent time at different alternate clip options and they are nice but admin overhead at hunting down a clip and suitable fasteners just ain’t worth it for mine. After all the BLF 6A is a great tool light and the allure for me was good all round performance and value right here right now.
So, the simple and effective for me fix that worked was to grab my small (125mm) Knipex Cobra and extend the bend on the tab by about 30°.
It doesn’t sound much but it has made a big difference in practically getting pocket up the clip without friggin frustration and time wasting.
The pics below show the tab bend difference from original and plier application for the bend.
I’ve not busted any tabs yet but ymmv.

    HF’s 5.11 Sneaky (accident) hidden clip … 291019

This is a well worn pair of 5.11 Tactile Pro pants. Clip comings and goings have effectively removed some stitching from the rear and front small pockets.
So recently I was mounting a clip/sak/keychain light setup that is often used in various guises and the clip just disappeared into the now stitch less pocket surround.
The result was minimal view of the clip which is fine by me. …
    [IMG]

    Here’s what’s inside the pocket …
    [IMG]

It’s better than the over flap because it conceals more clip and doesn’t impeded function at all.
I’ve never noticed this in other pocket setups and reckon it would be a nice design feature.

Reverse tanto blade tip repair on Leatherman BO PST (1993). I like the reverse tanto on my BM 940-1 so went with that.
