I’ve upgraded the light on my AR15 and have this extra light but I haven’t had any luck identifying the model number. A friend built the gun and doesn’t have any info on the light.

So, I would appreciate any input from the Surefire experts. I think it could be an early Scout model, based solely on appearance, but really have no idea. The only markings on the light, other than the Surefire logo, are the reference “A298396” below the logo.

My googlefu skills are pretty good but I’ve found nothing on Surefire’s site or any other site for that matter and need some help. I’ve attached a few pics, thanks in advance.

    Best guess...

Older model M300 scout with an M2 Centurion head (and obviously; dual tail switch).

This may seem a bit obvious, but you haven't said too....

Have you tried contacting Surefire customer service and sending them the pics also?

I may have to do this. Truthfully, I didn’t think it would be that difficult to find this info online and my next thought was to ask on this forum. Contacting Surefire will be my next option if the members here aren’t able to come up with something.

It looks like a m951 or m952. You could upgrade it with a Malkoff drop in if you wanted.

late production 951 IIRC, bought one off ebay some time ago from a surplus lot.
