Hello. I've been reading for some time here, but decided to reply to a thread and that would require an introduction, so here it is ^^

I am from Belgium and I have a (big) interest in useful, everyday gear like flashlights, folding knives, outdoor gear and clothing, multimedia gadgets etc. This seems like the perfect place to read about that and keep up with the latest news.
Excuse me for any mistakes language wise, english is not my primary language ;)

    Hi fellow Belgian!

It might be interesting to know where you get your EDC fix as there aren't many places in Belgium to get quality gear.

Hi there, good to see more fellow Belgians in here!

About getting gear in Belgium: I also found it impossible or at least very hard to get the cool gear we read about on this forum. I order everything online, mostly from UK / Germany / Netherlands. I've ordered multiple times from these:

    heinnie.com
    knivesandtools.nl
    ledfiretorches.co.uk
    flashaholics.co.uk

If you know of any other reputable EU stores, please let us know.

Do you speak dutch or french ? Several sellers in France, even if many times buying from UK and USA is more interesting.

Primary language is dutch, but reading french goes well and basic conversation is also quite good. But I do not often buy gear from within Belgium or the EU. I've found that buying stuff from oversees is a breeze. Shipping takes a bit longer but the prices are most often way better and there's more choice. Just don't forget that you'll sometimes have to pay import costs and you're good.

The world owes Belgium for French Fries! What would life be without them? :)
    Welcome!

It's heinnie or ebay if I order some stuff.

Had some good experience with http://www.lighthound.com/

Ordering in the US is easy but it's the shipping costs that are through the roof (5.11, lapolicegear...) pitty!
