I agree with snaplock. Tactical bags look cool. For remaining inconspicous a non-tatctical bag makes it difficult for people with nefarious plans to determine if fyrefly76 is going to be easy pickin, or will she be packing an unexpected surprise?

Nothing against Maxpedition, 5.11 and Vanquest bags/packs. But some of us prefer to keep a lower profile.
Being an older citizen, I do not want to looked at as a soft target if TSHTF, I would think women would follow similar strategies.

For lower profile, I'd look at Timbuk 2, Manhattan Portage, or Chrome. I use a Timbuk 2 with a zipper back compartment like on the 5.11 Rush Messenger, but looks just like a regular laptop bag.

Hmmn, How does one measure blade length? Pivot to tip? Or exposed blade? Heading to Chicago for a few days, Leafstorm passes one but fails the other.

PS, Hi new person from Chicago :)

    Cheers, Ted

    Hi Ted!

I would imagine it is exposed blade, but it may depend on the mood of the cop!
