Sennheiser mm50ip. Pretty much the same as my CX300s, just with a mic/answer button. I got them from ebay for 15.

Let me throw a twist into the thread whilst staying OT:

    Anyone EDC *bluetooth* headsets?

I had a Motorola setup (can't remember name) that I would not recommend (not that I could anyway, since I can't remember the name! :brickwall:)

    Skullcandy TiTans '09.

    - Inline volume control.
    - Aluminum build.
    - Aluminum wire casing (with plastic on it ofc.)
    - Longer wire than the norm.
    - Very clear, crisp sound (I will admit I've heard earbuds with stronger bass though)
    - Very very good sound isolation. This means better for your ears. I used them as makeshift earplugs on multiple occasions.
    - Came with a great carrying case (I lost it :-X )
    - Solid warranty.

A big +1 on the Plantronics Voyager 855! It works well as a regular phone headset, but with the second earbud attached the stereo sound is surprisingly good. This replaced my Jabra BT8010 which had similar capabilities but was much larger and less comfortable to wear.

  my wired PSP H-phones shorted out, so it looks like I'll be needing a pair too.

For the past three months or so I've been using my Head-Direct RE-0 earphones with my wonderful little Sony NWZ-A18. I absolutely love the RE-0; they sound fantastic and the cord is covered in a polyphenylene plastic instead of PVC or whatever most earphones use. It's supposed to have much better chemical resistance, so it shouldn't start to stiffen up on me like some other earphones that I otherwise really liked did. It also stays pretty flexible in -30C weather, which still blows me away. All that for only $89 USD shipped!

The only problem is that they didn't come with a carrying case, and my mint-tin solution doesn't fit into the little pocket in my messenger bag that I'd like to keep the headphones in. I know there's a lot of clever people here; does anybody have any thoughts on what I can do for a really compact carrying case?

I use these. Almost certainly a pirate version of the original Sennheiser, but pretty decent quality anyway. Plugged in via adapter to my Nokia 5610.

    Sennheiser IE-8
User replaceable cable, 26db noise reduction, adjustable bass response and they sound amazing.
Expensive, but to quote an audio technician I know, "Pay it, pay it, cry once, then live in high fidelity bliss for the rest of your days."

I'm on the cusp of purchasing some JH Audio 13s, as soon as I decide on a color/design. Chose those so I can EDC versus a larger set of headphones.
