Kato in OD looks like this.

It's my new edc bag for smaller bulk of items.
When I need to carry heavier goods, I turn to trusty GR1.

As described in TARFU's review, overall quality is superb except somewhat shabby zipper pulls.
So I replaced all of them with paracord/shrink tube pulls and now they work great.

Those zipper pulls are all kinds of slick. Might have to try that myself.

In fact, first I replaced all zipper pulls with ITW Zip Line Alpha, but they didn't work well with Kato's zippers somehow. Specifically, Zip Lines made opening/closing zippers more clumsy for me. So I tried these paracord/shrinktube pulls and they work and look great so far.

I am really loving that green color.

If only we could get more companies to offer it in their bag lines..

FYI, I made those zipper pulls by mimicking pulls on GR1.

The diameter of base shrink tubes is 6mm, and they are cut into 35~37mm length.
Inner strands of paracords are removed, so that resulting pulls are supple and low profile.
I recommend you to cut paracords in generous length, otherwise you will have a hard time tying them.

BTW first I tried to tie paracords in Chinese button knots (like this), but I couldn't keep my concentration... maybe some other time.

I love a good OD green. Very nice! When my (black) Kato arrives, maybe I'll do the same zipper pull mod.
