I can't get any response from RITR on social media, so here's hoping you folks can shed light on this... I recently lost (GAGH, ) a binder containing, amongst other things that have been irritating to loose, both my RITR YE99 and RE99 mechanical pencils. I forgot it was lying somewhere (busy day), and someone appears to have been light fingered, and walked off with it. My fault, I should have kept better tabs on the thing, but that's life, and there are, sadly, dishonest people around. So, replacement time. But I can't find them in stock anywhere, including the RITR website. So, have they been discontinued? TIA for any light that can be shed on this.

ecop! has a BK99 for sale on eBay right now ($15) with FREE shipping. All of the other sellers have the YE99 at outrageous prices! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rite-in-the-Rain-BK99-Black-Tough-Mechanical-Resin-Barrel-Twist-Pencil/384073798326?hash=item596c9512b6:g:VUIAAOSwdUJgZliQ Also this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rite-in-the-Rain-Mechanical-Pencil-Black-Knife-BK99-5-3-4-long-Black-resin-bar/173514096473?hash=item28663eff59:g:hkcAAOSwx0Fbjdly
Seems like they have the YE99 and it's Clearance Priced. Go to Granger site and search. Hope that helps,
Searching for 'Granger' results in a restaurant chain in London. I should probably mention that I'm in south London, England.
Shipping prices are horrendous to the UK. Nice find, though, just not really practicable from here in South London, England
Yeah that might throw a wrench in the works. I've gotten them on amazon before maybe you can source one there.
You can get a small number of their items here, but not, as yet, it seems, the Standard pencils. Which is somewhat irritating. I'll have a word with a mate over on the US side of the pond, once he's out of a current and prolonged family crisis.
I think I read somewhere about the pencils being out of stock but they are working hard to produce more inventory.
Here's hoping. The closest thing I've seen are those Autopoint Standard ones, and they're like rocking horse droppings over here. Import charges (factor in UK Duty, VAT (yes, sometimes imports get his with that too), and shipping) makes them expensive as hell, too.
If you do eBay there’s usually tons of new old stock autopoint on there. I’m sure they make for rite in rain
This is from a typical listing in the last couple of minutes over on evilbay: "£36.36 + £10.13 postage estimate Customs services and international tracking provided from United States" (see https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rite-in-the-Rain-All-Weather-Mechanical-Pencil-5-75-x-0-375-x-0-5-Yellow/124148134248?hash=item1ce7ce3168:g:lusAAOSwIuNej5Mo) I'd rather pull my nasal hairs out one by one at those prices

Let’s go about this a different way. I’m a big pencil user and have dozens of mechanical pencils. For edc I like using 1.3mm pencils. Any of these are great and I think would serve you well.
I've been thinking along similar lines. I prefer 1.1mm leads (I have a stock of the leads here), but yeah, that's the way I'm leaning atm, unless RITR come back in stock with the YE and RE 99 series anytime soon.
