Bananaboy, I'm in on the pre- order wtih Tom at KSF....for a lefty folder already, just as you said there. Just hoping to grab one of the first 250 with the extras from RYP...but really, it's just like hoping I'd win the lotto or something. My odds are nuts and all. Monocrom, yes D2 is all that's being said on the folder. Knifeguy, Jeff's been pretty upfront that they are having "some difficulties" sourcing the Izula folder. I'm hopeful too, but it looks like it could be well into next year before it's ETA. I like the looks of the drawings of the Izula folder a lot....but am getting a HEST folder while I can.
I've been thinking the HEST/F has a pretty absurd price... WHO SELLS a practically custom-grade Ti-framelock for under $200????? Given ESEE/RAT's great rep, this one's on my short list to buy!
My thoughts exactly. When I first saw the pictures I immediatley thought it would be in the Strider/Hinderer price range, but for <$200 I might pick this one up.
you guys better try to hit the "lotto" tommorrow...for the first 250 at dpxgear.com or do a pre-order. Some online retailers have posted they've gotten tons of pre-orders already and one has actually said he can't take anymore pre-orders until Jeff and Mike can tell him he's getting more than his alloted amount. suppossedly, that 2nd batch that anyone can sign up for and buy now.... is between 400 and 800 units. (that's worldwide) and no plans for any more after that (right now)
The forum will get some of these when they become available to me. I doubt I will do a pre-order on them. I will just sell them when I can get them in my hands.

Saturday morning....as of now.... I just counted .....32 left. that's after all the folks who ordered wrong / posted to give back duplicates / RYP and his team fixed orders / the dust settled, etc... at 11 last nite there were 3 left...so I'm guessing this is after they sorted thru all that overnight. I dunno, I crashed. anyway...just updating your fine EDCF folks if ya want one....just not #67...cause that's a lefty and its gonna be mine!
pre-order for the regular production run is currently about $175. I've got number 142 reserved on the LE.
the 250 that just sold out went for $249.95. and they are coming with a lot of announced extras and RYP has dropped a ton of hints/promises that those first 250 will also have even more extras in the packages when they come. the regular production folders are $175 - If you are still interested in of the first 250, I'd suggest trying the site around noon on monday, and then monday night.....they are going to sort out some double orders, etc... on monday and then some #'s maybe become available again. There's a drop down box that will have numbers in it. If there's a number, you can get that one -no #=none left.
i was gonna pre-order one of the LE models but it said the g-10 was black, i like the look of the foliage g-10 on the regular run so i did a pre-order on one of those beauts.
I am on a preorder list for the regular model...Lefty... Nice to get a knife that is ment for my left hand...
These are going to be a great addition to my regular H.E.S.T. which is permanently attached to my maxped jumbo, so I am never with out a fine fixed blade when the need should arise.
