The Church and Abbey ruins at Whitby, Never too far from a Land Rover or an ice cream! Lifeboat station,
My reward for doing this walk, A plate of the finest fish and chips with a beer! That's it, back to work tomorrow!!
I've got an almost identical picture of that Series IIA ice cream Landy Looks like you had a good time and were blessed with good weather (always a bonus!) I remember sitting on the harbour wall at Whitby eating quite possibly the best fish 'n' chips I've ever had, happy days Makes me want a Defender again...
Good work fella, looks like you had a great time. Hope the kids enjoyed it too. Hope work is kind tomorrow.
Thanks @Modchop couldn't quite believe the weather, bit fresh at night still but great in the daytime. And the Defender......well it behaved impeccably!!! Couldn't say so much for some of the millions of scooters about, every layby was full! @bjshep a great time had by all. The kids (9yr old girl and 13yr boy) kept up the pace on the walk actually, but we had to cheat and get a taxi back!
Gave up drinking some time ago and still miss a decent pint of bitter with my haddock, chips and mushy peas. Still, a decent mug of tea washes it down too.
Well I don't drink really but a pint seemed appropriate at the time!! Didn't manage to finish it though, however the cup of tea back at the caravan got polished of quite quickly!
Ok so hopefully this will work, trying to upload from Flickr instead of PB! Not easy on an iPad. Mail call today from forum member @Eciton Brass Investigator and TT Pockettools Tweezers and he threw in a free screwpop tool! Awesome, thanks
Today's carry, ordered a black fine fisher refill for the Investigator though, don't like the bold it has in it.
Hi Lynx, yes it does have the ramping feature. I've carried it pretty much every day for....well I actually can't remember, a long time, at least 3 years, it's just part of me!!! I researched for a long time before buying it and don't regret it at all. I use it as a twisty to stop the battery drain. Been looking recently to replace it but it's an ideal size for me, clips into my pen pockets on my work cargo trousers. I think the only thing I would get to replace it an Eagletac D25A Sorry for the long reply!!! They were/still are a great light but you don't see them about now!! I presume you sold yours on?
Yeah, had one and regret selling it years ago. The ramping was nice to play with, AA-battery and just a great light. Thanks for the extended reply. I liked it. Great gear and pics btw.
No problem @Lynx, many thanks. Surprised you've time to look through the threads in between posting all those Alox out!!!! What a gent you are.
Saturday afternoon carry after work, Sundays equipment, giving the garden some much needed attention!
I have the same Fiskars X3 brush hook. Interesting that yours has a "Wilkinson Sword" imprint. I read they had some kind of license agreement about the brand name in the UK only.
It's a great tool and holding up well. Very random with the Wilkinson Sword thing, it does have Fiskars printed on the handle as well, most the Fiskars stuff I see now hasn't got the WS branding on it, I can only assume it was for a certain period of time or a particular retailer.
