Just picked this Wenger Standard Issue Soldier knife up at a local camping outlet. They were selling off all the wenger stuff but I only bought this as the boss was with me, she grumbled enough at me for getting this!
It was at Go Outdoors at Shorpe. They've got a few wenger items left but not much! This was the last soldier which was the display model.
I thought I would dig out my wife's late grandfathers watch to wear later, remembered how light it was compared to my edifice!!! Casio edifice Pulsar Titanium Kinetic,
Forgot to tell you, went in there and bought a few bits. Met the owner and the CEO as well, they were on a round robin and visiting the new Lincoln store which was still being kitted out. They were great fellas and were very interested in my thoughts. It was also their launch day for Buck and Opinel. Let's just say I was less than impressed with their range choices, but walked away with some VERY good deals! Lincoln is now open and both stores are brilliant compared to others in the chain. Take care mate.
@bjshep Glad you got some good deals! I had a look in the Lincoln store the other day and saw the buck and opinel range and agree with you. Wish they had more offers though, everything seems full rrp. Regards
The manager at Lincoln did his training at Scunny and is very open to discussions of deals! I like to haggle a bit. As you know, our Lincoln Training Site is next door. I'll be visiting a lot more often!
Was funny when I was in the Lincoln store, there was more green uniforms than their own blue ones!!! I'll take the wife next time, she doesn't pay full price for anything!
I seem to pick up 1/4 hex sets too much, the latest one is from Milwaukee, but have to say I'm not too impressed, driving with my drill they soon round off and then in turn ruin the screw. Milwaukee, Mac tools set, DeWalt set, Beta set, probably used the most due to the ratchet,
Small mail call today, couldn't find all the items from one UK supplier so had order from two different ones, two lots of postage for very small items! Trying to organise a keychain carry just waiting for a Gamble FM1 to arrive. 3 x Nano McGizmo's and 8mm split rings Tec accessories split ring kit (for the oval rings)
Enjoy it. It's been on my key chain for over a year. It's a nice little tool. One of the best openers I ever used.
Thanks for posting it out so quick. Looks in good condition for over a year of keychain carry. It will be going on mine as soon as the FM1 arrives
This is all I'll be carrying tonight. Travelling by ferry to Amsterdam for the weekend and I'm not sure what I can get away with through security so would rather leave it at home than get it confiscated! Might have to buy something once I get there though. Was thinking maybe an Alox Minichamp if I can find one.
