Ok, so I'm fairly new around here and I do a lot more reading than I do posting!!! You guys have a lot of very cool gear and my stuff seems pretty boring by comparison, but I thought I would make this thread to keep a history of my edc. Any way the first few photos have already been posted elsewhere but I'll put them here as well for continuity. My basic daily work on person edc, Snugpak response Pak taken in any vehicle I'm travelling in, Contents, Plus a fenix TK15 and very basic FAK which needs sorting.
Contents of the front pocket of the response Pak, Wallet, Parker jotter, victorinox nail clippers, uncle bill's tweezers, Gerber paraframe knife, USB stick, led lenser P3, leatherman micra, Swiss card Quattro, wave/charge lanyard, and a Jack Daniels zippo which is kind of ironic as a don't drink or smoke! Just liked the look of it.
Mixed lot of flashlights! Hoping to get a couple more at the end of this incredibly long month, pay day can't come soon enough, my want list is growing everyday and EDCF is to blame!
Mail call, One very small packet! Watch batteries, And one bigger packet, My other dewalt is get a bit tired after 7 years of hard use so, it's needed daily so had to spend cash on this rather than fancy edc items!!
Thought I'd show what I carry in rear of my Land Rover. Sog folding shovel Gerber small machete Gerber folding saw Buck hatchet Husqvarna splitting axe Fiskars brush cutter Hultafors fixed blade knife (not pictured) Stored in lockable storage box with tools and recovery gear,
May be this "guy" is all "rather than fancy", but i think that works like a beast ! What are your first impressions about it ? TIA Nick
Hi Ted, I made it out of buffalo board, a waterproof boarding used for truck floors. I do some work at a local vehicle bodybuilder who let's me have some of the off cuts!
Hi Nick, first impressions are very good, very powerful, lighter than my old one and the batteries should last longer, I really do rate dewalt drills highly. I used to get through cheaper ones at the rate of one a year but the last dewalt lasted 7 years so didn't hesitate to buy another. Only one small fault is the placement of the built in led light, it is placed just above the trigger and the drill chuck casts a shadow exactly where you need the light!
Couple of parcels in the post today, Leatherman bit extender Fenix LD01 Tec P7 clip 2 python clips 2 nano McGizmo clips 25,11 and 8mm split rings
Mail call today with a black theme! Vic Classic sd Squirt PS4 Eden knives badged SanRenMu in stonewashed black, added it to the order to take me over the free delivery threshold, very cheap at £13.50 anyway!
Thanks, I was undecided until asking you about yours! Still need to get an alox minichamp but that will have to wait now.
A chilly Saturday morning work carry, 2.5 hrs, 90 miles round trip to do 1 hour of work! Glad I get paid for travelling as well!
Going out into Lincoln for a bit of shopping and dinner so more people friendly and legal carry needed. First time with this new set up and it worked well, they just hang in the pocket with the P7, very discreet! Only carry the classic for the toothpick when dining out, need to think of a different way, might carry my swisscard in the wallet instead or put it on the keyring with the keys.
