Nice set. I picked up several over priced Goruck accessories when I got my first pack. You definitely need that kind of stuff in a Goruck bag.

    26L GR1 & 10L Bullet arrived today.

GR1 will be setup as my main GHB with Kifaru pullouts and will be stowed in vehicle. Will do double duty as a carry-on while traveling.

Bullet will be small daypack when out & about and carried as a lightweight urban E&E/GHB for trips into the city. I plan on getting a 20lb plate down the road and start adding rucking to my cross training, so I'll probably use the Bullet with a hydration bladder, IFAK/Trauma kit and small survival kit.[IMG]

Pretty much the ways I'm using my Wolf Grey GR1 and Ranger Green Bullet 10. Don't have the Kifaru pull outs, but have other organizers that let me reconfigure the GR1 quickly when I take it out of my truck. I was a little skeptical about the 20 lb ruck plate at first, but it adds noticeable work to long walks around town without being over the top.

Hope you get as much use out of your bags as I'm getting - great stuff.

Goruck fan here. I think the GR1 is one of the perfect bags out there. The ability to take abuse is second to none. It is my everyday bag, camera bag when needed, and hiking bag. Comfortable to carry when loaded. Only complaint is there is no ventilation for the back. Doesn't do so well in hot humid weather for me.

    My collection so far.
    3 GR1 (2 Black, 1 Wolf Grey)
    2 GR 0
    2 10 Bullet. 1 old, 1 new.
    1 38L gym bag.
    1 20L Kit bag
    1 57L Civvy
Couple of apparel in there too.

I've decided to get a GR1. I'm really sold on the layout. I'm really torn on size though, 26l or 21l.

My main bag right now is a Kifaru Antero which is a little smaller than 26L and is right about the size I need. But it also has side pockets that account for the extra CI.

Has anyone had both the Antero and GR1 that can comment on size differences?

I am in the same situation as you. I keep looking at the GoRuck website, checking here and all over the internets for photos and I know I *need* a GR1... I am going to get a 26L because I can carry the stuff I need and have spare room, I can't make the 21L bigger.

What Southpaw said. How tall are you? And what are guys looking to do with it.

I'm 5'7", medium build and the 21L fits better on me than the 26L - though I personally think it "looks" too small. And at the same time, I don't pack too much, so the 21L makes more sense most of the time.

But, I use my 26L for the office because my laptop won't fit in the 21L; so it depends on how you guys use it.

I wanna say if you guys are 5'9" and taller you guys should get the 26L for all around.

I'm 5'11. It's hard to tell how bags fit on me because I have pretty big shoulders. I just don't know if a smaller bag would fit better. I've seen some pics of people wearing the 26 and it looks huge.

You're kind of in between a 21L and a 26L. I would go based on your torso length and overall thickness of your body. If you're a broader 5'11, I'd go 26l. If you're a lean 5'11, then 21L. Here's a size reference pic I got from Reddit. Guy is 5'8."

Any idea how big the guy in the pictures is? The 26 seems pretty big in him.

The reason why the torso length is really important is because the pack will ride on your hips, which isn't ideal.
