I noticed the pockets but was uncertain enough friction would be achieved and hold the items in place. Thanks.

[IMG] Just got these rigs, 10L V1 Bullet and Radio Ruck, for $120. And I don't mean $120 each...

Thanks! Trying to figure out what to utilize them for!

Craigslist is a beautiful thing! Guy was selling the Bullet for $50 and the Radio for $80! I offered $120 and met up yesterday at a large metro Atlanta gun emporium.

Dayam Gina! That bullet looks like a 1000D version too; especially since it was around the time of the Radio Ruck.

Hi, anyone has any experience in putting a thin admin pouch of sorts to cover all the molle on the front of the GR1?

Goruck used to make a map pocket that fit perfectly across the front of a GR1 or GR2. Its flat, with a Velcro closure on the flap, and works well for, well, maps. I wouldn't load it with expensive heavy stuff (multi tools, flashlights etc) since stuff could probably fall out easily.

The TAD OP1 will work. It's not "perfect" since TAD and Goruck seem to use different spacing for their molle webbing, but it's solid. I have put mine on both my GR1 and Bullet 10 and it's pretty handy.

One off the radar is the Eagle Creek Side Trek - basically an organizer with a couple of carry options that I've found handy for years. It does NOT have molle attachments, best you can do without modding the pack is hang it off of Grimlocs - works great as a chest pack, can be bouncy off the back of the pack. Would be easy to mod though, and it's a very well made piece with a great layout.

    Thanks for the reply!

I have checked with some pouches I have and the molle spacing on the GR1 is really quite off.....

Check Loaded Pocketz. I think I saw him stick something on a Goruck. It'll be an old post, but I believe I saw it there back when I was researching Gorucks.

What's the best way to fix Velcro to the inside backing? Glue? Sewing? Id like to add more orginization. I have a drop in panel but it adds more weight and is not optimal!

Hmm I must not have been clear. I want to install Velcro on the inside of my Goruck Bullet.

It's possible to sew a panel to the taped inside seams ...... depends on the construction of the seams and the capability of the sewing machine. I've been experimenting with a few packs adding small panels of loop velcro to the top half of compartments. Worked nicely.

In addition to sew-in velcro, there are some that are iron-on. These will not hold as well as sew-in, but is an option if you aren't able to sew in.

There are also mats/boards with velcro attached to them that can be inserted. Crossbreed Pack Mat or Vanquest Mohl-Air (kinda small at 7x5.5) are two that I can think of.

I like the ridged sheet idea. It could be easily transfered to another similar sized pack. How about a diy sheet of kydex or hdpe with industrial strength adhesive loop velcro?
