+1 on the raven concealment vanguard II. I carry a 19, appendix, everyday and it hardly ever prints no matter what type of clothing im wearing.

Why would you be worried about that? I back pocket carry my LCP or Seecamp every day.

Just squishing stuff that shouldn't be squished, mainly. Also added wear/tear, comfort. I'm new to guns so maybe I'm over thinking it (its known to happen), but I'd be worried about moving something with my butt at the wrong moment... not that there's a right moment!

Well, you're not gonna squish it! You get a good holster and it feels the same as a wallet back there. It's a very common way to carry, and my favorite by far.

I worked to drop 10 pounds around my middle so I'd have room - a better health choice...:running:for me at least.

I've been carrying a Glock 36 comfortably for a few years, I am in the midst of transitioning down to 9mm, for more ammo & cheaper training and I've got my eye on the 19. The 36 is pretty small and I believe the 19 is only slightly larger & with the proper holster/belt combo (can't speak highly enough about the OSOE Duty Belt) you can carry virtually anything with comfort.

Another option is to wear patterned shirts like plaid or something from wilderness tactical. The pattern will break up the gun's outline to an observer if it is printing some.

I carried a 1st-Gen Glock 19 for several years over 20 years ago in rotation with other models made by different makers. It was the shortest barrel, lightest in weight, and smallest in grip girth so it was by far the easiest to carry. For those accustomed to carrying smaller handguns, it can obviously be more challenging. My holster for the 19 was the Mitch Rosen ARG IWB.

I carry my Glock 23, same size as the 19, in a Galco Kingtuk. The IWB holster makes concealment really easy, and it is also very comfortable. I think the hybrid holsters like the Kingtuk and the Crossbreed Supertucks are probably the best IWB holster. When I carry OWB I usually carry in my custom Kydex holster. It conceals well enough under a sweatshirt or long tshirt.

Why was the XD recalled? Haven't heard anything about it. I also carry in a super tuck.
