After months of lurking and making comments on lots of other posts, I decided it's finally time to start my own thread. My M-F world revolves around working as HR & Compliance Manager for a call center in northern Indiana. The office is business casual but I dress just slightly more professionally. As a result, there are no cargo pockets or large tools hanging from my belt.

I'm a deacon in my church so the Sunday wardrobe is much the same as weekdays. Basically 6 days a week my EDC is fairly covert. I have just about anything you would expect to see including a firearm and spare mag. However, the methods I use to carry may look different to some.

Since joining the forum, I've begun collecting knives, MTs, torches and sundry other items like everyone else here. The forthcoming posts will provide insight into my EDC perspective and will chronicle items used for hobbies and days off. I hope you enjoy and feel free to comment.

This is a common setup for my office carry. Unfortunately the firearm remains secured in a safe in my locked vehicle per state law. Everything else is on my person. The recycled Blackberry case (which I bought on eBay for $2) is now a pocket sheath holding a Spydie folder, Thorfire pen light and Zebra retractable pen. This rides in my right front pocket along with my wireless device (not pictured-Motorola Droid Turbo). A Chinese key holder with office and church keys is clipped to my belt on my right side.

An off-brand version of the Maxpedition Keyper rides on my left. Depending on the day it generally has a Victorinox Huntsman in my color of the day (however, it is a Wenger today) and a matching Leatherman or Gerber MT. I generally clip my car key and gun safe key to this with a small carabiner. Today's hank features hobo codes that I picked up on a road trip last weekend. It lives in the back left pocket. Finally, the very slim AlpineSwiss cash strap is in the right rear pocket.

Today was a trip to the hospital for my wife's outpatient surgery. Now home to take care of her.

Nice set ups Gary. I'm in the same boat at work...business casual with 1-2 days a week requiring shirt & tie. I always have a fair amount of gear in my EDC pack, but usually just a small SAK and AAA flashlight on person. I make up for it on the weekends, though - couple of knives, 2-3 lights, pistol with a spare mag or two, etc. Probably overkill but I enjoy getting some use from the gear that I can't carry through the week.

By the way, great use of that recycled Blackberry case. At first look, I thought it was a custom piece. I may head over to eBay and grab one for myself;).

Thanks @twin 63! The case is dirt cheap. I also use a Flowfold wallet for the same purpose. There's plenty more gear in my Osprey Comet backpack. My weekend gear sounds about the same as yours.

Good stuff. Curious though - I assume the SAK as a multitool but why two folders?

It's just a matter of preference. I carry the SAK mostly for the other tools and a folder just for cutting and not often used in the office. I usually have a small gentleman's knife that is "office friendly" that I can open mail with, etc.

Got it. I guess a small knife might ease the look on my admin's face when I whip out my BM to cut a rubber band

Exactly. I keep something pretty small and non-tactical looking on me at work. But I also like my other toys and can't leave the house with just one! :D

It's a beautiful day out. I was checking on a mum I recently planted so I grabbed a couple pics outside.
