how thick is that?
Mr. theryan, If its a S30v G2 Ghost then PA noted "... The thickness is almost in Semi Roid territory at .176 so very beefy indeed! ... " i.e.(~4.5mm) thick.
Thanks for showing it Mr. thefrank.
Mr Heywood Floyd is awaiting his G2 Ghost's arrival in the coming day or so.
I don't have anything to confirm the measurement exactly but that seems about right! The first G2 batch was already quite thick with .166, the raw bar edition is even thicker.
This week I'm beta testing Gamble's gear pull in brass (I think kickstarter project is supposed to launch is June)!
The gear pull is similar in length to the kaijin fishhook and the mega dangler and it is a little bit longer than the pickpocket.
The main principle is the same for all of the, a bent piece of metal that helps you to attach your keys to your pocket or your belt. The triangular arrangement of the 3 holes on the gear pull make quite a difference though! While things attached to the both holes of the mega dangler or the pickpocket feel kind of strange when you "fold" the keychain together, everything seems to hang much more naturally on the gear pull, especially with a bigger split ring in the middle.
I also really dig the style with all the decorative holes! Especially on the brass version it gives it some kind of steampunk look!
It's cool - I'm waiting for that gear pull to come up on KS after reading the everyday commentary review of it.
Really nice shot and composition. Should be exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum !
I wouldn't mind! Especially if that means that I finally start MAKING money with EDC instead of spending it all the time...
Some nice brass! The bullet bead is from a guy on etsy, the cat bead is from Santi on USN.
I wasn't really a fan of the look of that dangler the first few times I saw it....but now that I've seen it in brass!
I know what you mean! The style with the decorative holes does not work so much for me on titanium or nickel silver but in brass it looks just perfect! I haven't seen too many pictures of the copper version yet but my feeling is that this might look even better (at least when it starts getting some patina!).
BTW this is the everydaycommentary that sbakker mentioned:
This is a cobaltium mokume bead made by Jason from Delta 3 Designs. I haven't seen anything like this material before! The colors are amazing and it is light as a feather!
It is a busy week for me but I got this new toy a couple of days ago and I wanted to share some pictures! It is called the T-tool from Italian knifemaker Dalla Costa Fabio. I really like this distressed finish which I saw first on a different tool so I asked him whether he could make a T-tool for me with this finish and a small modification.
The tool has the perfect size for a keychain and I was happy to notice that both sides have this awesome finish! The edges of the pry tips/screw drivers are a bit sharp for a keychain tool but that can easily be changed! Sometimes I see a nice tool but something bothers me about it, a detail I would like to change or a different finish. Finally I can get exactly what I want!
Somehow I've missed your thread. Very nice pictures and very nice gear
Thanks! Glad you like it!
Light weekend carry
I finally received these two beads from Khtima today! It is raining here and the light is not great but I really wanted to take some pictures already. I have seen so many pictures of them but it is still unbelievable how much detail there is on these tiny beads!
The silver knight is a perfect match for my wolf bead! I haven't yet decided what to do with the brass pirate. I like it even a bit better than the knight so it will need to find something really special for it!
I had to take another picture of the pirate this morning!
