So I live in a very small touristy type town and was walking around with the lady and our daughter today when I happened to notice a few nice knives displayed in a window display at this leather shop. I went in to check it out and it turns out they have an extremely large selection of really nice knives. Spydercos, Chris reeves, benchmade, etc, as well as a large selection of high dollar custom fixed blades. I was in total amazement as this place is literally a stones throw from my house. Looks like I might be forced to buy a new blade soon....I've been wanting a benchmade 915 triage for a while and they happen to have four of them! Here's a picture of the CRs they had on display. Neat! :D Thanks for sharing.

I too have been looking at the Triage. I would think that being on Patrol and doing SAR work, it may come in handy one day. :)

im going to go back and see if the owner will let me make a video just showing off his inventory simply because of how excellent it is. ill have to go by myself of course, because the mrs basically had to drag me out of there last time.

Can you be generally vague as to the location of this shrine to cutlery?

if youre interested in something specific from the picture by chance, im sure he would be more than happy to sell by other means. i didnt see many posted prices though, so im sure his prices are on the high side since its a tourist town and all.

i really, really wish i had a nice cutlery shop close by

i tried knife talking with an overly hyped up army type sales person at a local gun store last year. they had a few spydercos so i asked if he could get me a para2, manix2, native, and a couple others. after a minute on his computer he asked if i meant gerber. wait, what? after whispering something to a co-worker he seemed more worried that i was in the store than about my possible sale but he never passed up a chance to show me how his emerson karambit opened and how cool he looked in a defensive pose. i wanted to tell him i wasnt his bedroom mirror but i think he was intimidated by my size and style of dress. i dont get offended cause im used to it but it would be nice to have a laid back real life place to go chat about knives/gear. or maybe i should just lose the fitted hats and hoodies to look less scary lol.

Thankfully, I do have a shop close by with a really great owner to talk to about all the knives there. He started with traditionals and a few small Kershaws and Ontario and Buck, etc. Becker FBs as well. He still has quite a few traditionals in the cases, but I showed him my then meager tactical folder collection and we talked for hours about the benefits of offering what was now the hot ticket item for knife nuts. He now has Spyderco (access to exclusives too), ZT and Benchmade filling most of the cases.

Great guy with a lot of knowledge. I always check with him to see what new knives he's gotten in lately. Now I really feel lucky to have a shop around after reading how many aren't that close to one.
