I suspect that almost ALL of the members of this forum carry a knife. Any here EDC a fork and spoon?

This may be a bit of a stretch for some but I've grown weary of the flimsy, small-ish, brittle, & otherwise inadequate plastic stuff provided by many fast food establishments. I cannot count how many times I had wished for some real, metallic utensils with which to enjoy a meal while traveling.

I tried carrying some of the household-sized varieties but found them to be too heavy, large, and cumbersome to carry.

A few years ago, I found a set at REI. They are titanium and large enough to be truly useful and small and lightweight enough to be unobtrusive to carry.

These two make a great companion to the Simonich talonite Mini Talon that I've carried since '01.

I have a titanium spoon from MSR that has various tools for stove repair built into it. Though it wasn't made for this, the hex wrench in the back of the spoon's handle works decently as a fork. I don't carry it every day, but I carry it pretty often, especially on long trips.

I found a knife, fork, and spoon set made of Lexan at the local Wally-world about 10 years ago. It has lived in my pickup most of that time. Light durable and compact.

I have a Snowpeak titanium spork that Ive had for 4 or 5 years. My wife thinks I'mnuts ,but wether at home or at work other than a knife, I use my spork for every meal. She hates hearing,"Honey, where did you put my spork?"

I have 3 sets of these. If they made them in Ti I'd EDC them.
In fact I did for awhile but it is heavy and they rust..
They come apart so you can use the knife with the fork etc..
The knife is very sharp and comes with a nylon pouch

I have a german surplus Kinfe, fork & spoon set in my suitcase if I stop at a fast food establishment.

reminds me of a quote I heard on the radio. "He carries a knife ,fork and spoon just in case a banquet breaks out."

I keep an MRE spoon stuffed in my MaxpedJumbo. It's light and fairly sturdy. I recently saw a fork spoon combo I'd like to get - would be great if it were in Ti. Spoon at one end - Fork at the other.

I've seen that. It also has a knife at the fork edge. It is not really a knife, but some serrations. I agree with you. It looks to be made of cheap plastic that is just a turn-off.
