    Hey all,

I need to replace a lost blade. About a year ago I lost my favorite Kershaw Ken Onion assisted opening folder.
I'm ready to replace it now and I'd love some recommendations.
    Here is the criteria:

    - Around $50
    - Straight blade/not serrated
    - At least 3" blade
    - Assisted opening

    Anybody have any recommendations?

    Thanks!

I have a Kershaw Leek an a SOG Twitch XL. The SOG is a bit more than $50 but it's a much nicer steel.

I'd say Kershaw is the place to go for you. Leek, PackRat (I only say this because I'm excited to get mine tomorrow), and any others that also have the Speedsafe AO. There's a long list to choose from.

Here is a link to Kershaw's website showing all of their Speedsafe knives.

Kershaw makes great , affordable knives. I would recommend:

    -Kershaw blackout
    -Kershaw whirlwind
    -Kershaw Clash

All of these are great values that can be found for about $50. Happy shopping!

You can find the Spyderco endura and delica for just a little over $50 on amazon. Both are very high quality knives.

Whoops, I didn't see the assisted opener part...please disregard!

That was my first thought as well, until I saw the AO requirement. Dynamik1, if you're willing to go with a manual folder, these are excellent knives!

A lot of great knives in that price range and many mentioned already.

The Kershaw Clash is a lot less than $50 and I think that it is the best value for what you get. It is built like a tank and around $30 or less depending on where you buy it. I call it the mini Tyrade.

+1 on the Leek. If you can throw in a few extra bucks (like $6) you can get the D2 version.
