I've been carrying these nebo lights for 3 yrs as part of my edc. They live in my front pocket which I like for quick access. The problem is they only last 4-5 months before they work intermittently. Can someone recommend a light around the same size ( one AA) or similar. That will start up to the abuse of riding In a pocket next to keys and a knife I don't mind paying a little more. For one that lasts but I can't spend 50 on a flashlight right now.
    Thanks.

Thrunite T10 or T20? Or for a bit of bling the T10/20T :)

EDIT: My bad, the T10 is the AA light, the T20 is CR123A/16340....

Unfortunately there's no free lunch. You can spend a few bucks every 4-5 months or a bunch of bucks once and have a piece of kit you can count on.

What kind of budget are you talking about? Less than $50, I get - but what are you comfortable spending?

Other questions: how often do you use your light? For what purposes?

What kind of runtime would you like on the battery? Do you want something really bright? Functional amount of light?

If you like the light that much. Have someone one fix it with good components. Other than that I don't know as I only use HDS

Get one of the amazon $5 cree lights. I carried one for two years without issue and keep them in each of my kits as back up lights. And for less than 5 bucks, I spend more for decent batteries for them than I do for the lights. Have yet to have one fail except the one dropped from a roof...

I also recommend the thrunite t10. It is perfect for me and has become my only EDC light, and I don't plan on changing anytime soon. It's just awesome

L3illumination L10, or L10C. Inexpensive, and well built.

Thanks for the replies. I will be carrying it in my pocket daily for various lighting chores. I'm gonna stay with AA or AAA size because I can easily replace those. I did take the Nebo apart, clean and inspect it. I also replace the o rings and it seems to be still working but I still want something better quality. $50 would be the upper limit for a small edc light, I'd have to save but I could do it. Thanks again.

    ThruNite T10S or Streamlight Microstream/Stylus Pro/ProTac 2AA.

All in your price range, all rugged, all good water resistant ratings.
