I've placed all of my previously purchased CR123/CR2 led lights on reserve in vehicles, etc., and over recent months replaced them with my current collection of users...

Fenix E12 - hangs on neck lanyard from shelf near bed
Fenix LD09 - pocket edc light
Thrunite TN4A CW - this is the main house light for family use, kept between living room and dining room and can be grabbed from either room easily
Thrunite TN4A NW - on nightstand
Thrunite TN4A HI - just got his one today, thinking about making it a car flashlight, or get home bag light.

All AA lights. I've also purchased 24 Eneloops and a couple of charger packs to help supply them.

I have 2 that I rotate = Thru Nite Tis with 120 Lumens & the Olight i3S with 180-190 Lumens. They're both keychain flashlights...take an AAA battery & are brighter than hell. I remember back in the 1970s when I was a Transportation driver for The Rocky Mountain News in Denver. We had to carry those huge MagLites that took like 6 D batteries, as finding addresses at 3 a.m. delivering newspaper bundles to the paperboys' houses, you needed a bright light to see the numbers from the truck. These keychain flashlights are brighter than those Mags were.
Granted, those huge flashlights were good for cracking a snarling German Shepherd's head, so they don't bite you, but the progress they've made with Lumens, fit into a way smaller package. But there were times I was glad to have my 2 foot long Mag to swing at a growling Rottweiler.

I remember when I got my first small edc light, and couldn't believe how much better it was than the 4D cell Mag incandescent that I had used as my one and only house, car, and walking/night fishing light for years. That old Mag is still around here, but I don't think it's seen use since (although I agree, if I were in need of a club I'd still prefer the Mag)

I no longer have the light .Sold it a couple of months ago . It's got a very 'cool ' factor about it in a lthat a tiny light pumps out 600 lumens. I'd recommend you get one. I sold it to buy another toy! Good luck!

It a plain Hound dog (V4 I think) running off two 18650s. Although it looks clean, it gets thrown, dropped and used hard. It's a great length to slid into a back pocket.
