My small collection:

I'm facinated by AA and AAA lights, for both the convenience in size and availability of batteries. My most prized one is the Arc camo that was a gift from a good buddy in Hawaii.

Here are three lights I recently purchased. On the left is the SureFire C2 with the Malkoff M60 dropin.

In the middle is the Ra Clickie tactical with stainless steel bezel.

On the right is the Malkoff MD2, also with the M60 dropin.

Here's a pic of the C2 and MD2 side-by-side to show the difference in color:

And here is a pic of the threads on the C2 and the MD2. It appears there is a longer threaded section on the C2:

What do you think of the McGizmo Ti AAA? It looks like it's built well, but I really wish they'd offer something more powerful than a Nichia GS.

beautifully made, very smooth thread, lovely flood, no beam rings, good clean white beam tint, nice lens, large lug hole, nicely radiused lug end.

but you are correct: it isn't all that bright and not a tactical light by any imagination, it is perfect for reading menus in darkened restaurants, walking around the house at 3am or hiking a trail to the outhouse.

I have this daydream where I transplant the driver from a Fenix LD01 into that, but then I remember I have no idea how to do that, since the LD01 driver is sealed in epoxy.

I guess the pic speaks for itself, except for the black mini mag with the terralux 140 lumen drop in. I am somewhat a mag :censored:. I have my first non-mag on its way, though - a fenix e01 to replace the solitaire on my keychain.

Does anyone else show this thread to family and gfs to prove that they aren't really that bad for buying lights?
