Ive accumulated a small heap of fixed blades by now, but have yet to organize them in a tidy fashion. Been looking for a "tool roll" that would fit large fixed blades, but found none yet.

How do you store your fixed blades?

+1 to mumbojumboo. Knives are oiled and put in the safe. Sheaths are piled up in a corner. I keep my EDC knife on my dresser, and my girlfriend keeps her knife by the bed too (it makes her feel safe having it there).

I Renaissance Wax my knives and wrap them in tissue paper then store them in the box they came in. If I don't have the factory box I do the same process and bind knife and sheath with a rubber band. All of knives are then stored in roll around tool chests.

In a wooden chest, in sheaths - most sheaths are plastic/nylon anyway, and even if so - most blades are stainless. I know it is possible to get a visible discoloration from contact of leather with stainless steel, but frankly, don't give, I'm not a collector and none of my knives is a collectible.

Mine are in their sheaths, and (if not too large) in tackle boxes along with the folders. The tackle boxes are in an aluminium Rimowa tool suitcase.

Has to be a tool roll at your local home improvement store that you could look at or someone here makes/wants to sell one. even Duluth Trading probably makes something that would work

So dry here I don't worry about rust or any of that stuff. Just keep then in a couple of Countrycomm's collector bags(wish I had more) or in plastic boxes.

How does a chef get his knifes to and from work? Google "chef knife case".
