I am looking into getting a fixed blade knife for the man bag. Just wanted to get some more options if anyone had any good one to recommend.

It cant be longer then 11", it need to be slim/narrow (no bulky handles) and a kydex sheat would be nice. This is goin to stay in my ccw pocket on the eagle bag i carry..
Been looking at this; tops knife But I would like some more options... :)

Re: fixed bade for man bag

May I suggest that you take a look at the offerings of Charles May & Gene Ingram? I have knives by both makers, and they are fantastic. I believe that you would find one that suits your needs.

Charles May had a few interesting design, custom work sounds expensive. I would like to keep it around $150, thats not a set amount but close to.

I think the bigger issue is that you would have to wait quite a while to get one of his fine knives and possibly until 2010.

Is there a minimum blade length or OAL you are looking for? What about RAT Cutlery RC-3? The sheath isn't kydex but its not bad.

I like the CRKT Ryan Plan B. Nice size, feel, slim, and the kydex you want. Not badly priced either. Give it a look..

Blind Horse Knives makes some great small straight knives at really reasonable prices.

The Rat looks a little "beefy" to have in a bag(i like how they look, but not for the bag). Well I think 4" blade would be nice, so its a "full blown knife" or close to it. :idiot2:

The First strike is somewhat what i am looking for, but i dont like the tanto tip very much.. :winkwink:

It actually didnt look that bad but it is discontinued! :(

Didnt look to bad, will keep him in mind... :)

I carry a Seal Pup on the outside of my Falcon II. I got the optional nylon sheath, which has a flap that covers the hilt and also has a small sharpener pocket in which I keep a multi-tool. Between the black of the sheath and the black of the hilt, it is very unobtrusive on the black F-II. I doubt if even the people I work with every day have noticed it, yet it doesn't take up valuable inside space.

I havecarried a Gerber Cliplock or Kershaw Amphibian in the CCW compartment of my Last Resort in the past, but its too risky nowadays so I now have a (VERY well hidden!) Cold Steel FGX blade (A Skean dhu, I think?)

Is it just going to be a knife, or emergency pry tool??
    What about a CRK&T Razel?
    Just an idea.

Fallkniven F1 or S1 should do nicely.

I don't have the S1, but I do have the A1 which is very similar except for the blade being a little longer and thicker. If you value quality, simplicity and functionality above all else, a Fallkniven is for you. Great, great knives.

I carry the K-Bar at bottom right in my MaxPed Fatboy & it is very reasonably priced. If that's too big they make a shorter one.
