I used to be, until ammo disappeared! My dad saved up about 10k rounds but I'm afraid to use it. Haven't shot my 10/22 in forever! But it's killed many a sage rat and jackrabbit. I think if it looked more like yours I'd be tempted to take it out more. :)

In recent years I've switched over to .17 for varmint hunting. No more blasting away with banana clips, but I do a lot more damage with my Savage 17 because it's so stinkin' accurate. And it's a bit more, shall we say, "explosive" downrange.

.22 ammo has become pretty easy to find online and at gun shows at $.08-$.10/rd. Not as cheap as it used to be, but still a lot cheaper than any other caliber.

Love the seecamp. Where did you find one and how much do they run, if you don't mind me asking? Also I love how you have the forum pulled up in the background of the photo.

My Heritage Rough Rider I used to have. I loved that thing. It was a .22LR / .22WMR combo, all you had to do was change the cylinders. For the price, that was a heck of a well built and fun firearm.

Dad's Ithaca model 37 featherlight from circa 1978-1980. Its a full choke but it runs great and is fun to shoot. Plus, Dad's a lefty so he likes the bottom eject.

Dad's Remington 572 pump .22. It is a lot of fun with a tube magazine and a pump gun for a .22. It looks and runs like a mini 870. This is also from circa 1978-1980 but its in incredible shape.

I had been looking around for one for some time. Found a bunch with the MA/CA safety, but I didn't want that one (I live in Mass). I just happened upon someone local who was selling one without it. I've seen them all over for 400-500 used in good shape. Wish I could get one of the Heritage .22s, but unfortunately, my state believes they're too dangerous
