Our family just recently made an interstate move to a newly built home and it allowed me to re-evaluate how I would access and store my firearms. I purchased a new full size safe for my long guns and another pistol safe for the bedroom. This got me thinking, how do other EDC members store their firearms when they aren't carrying. My main priority was to have the firearms secure when no one is home and to have quick access to my pistol for home defense. The two pistol safes have simplex locks, allowing quick access with no worries about dead batteries or electronics failing. Bump in the night box near the bed (with battery powered motion sensor light) Smaller safe to store my EDC rotation (holds a G27 or a SW 640) Everything else goes here
I also use a long arm safe and smaller safes for pistols, documents, etc. You may also need to register your firearms after moving -- depending on state/local government. Sent from my Mi 9T Pro using Tapatalk
All my firearms are registered, and we moved from California to Arizona so no problems there. Open carry is a refreshing change.
