    I don't freak out easy :p

Ha ha, California and Grand Canyon  Who told you my route  If you're there the last September/first October week then PM me :) Now wouldn't it be funny to meet someone from 'just around the corner' on another continent :D

Haha, drinks in Vegas perhaps? ;)

There is still a chance my schedule might change btw. Apparently there is another huge sporting event(I though it was American Football but I'm not sure, perhaps it's that other ball game, idk) on the same date as the Austin GP is planned & there has been some talk about moving the GP to another date, but I have no idea if that will actually happen.

The funny thing is, that buddy of mine in TX just moved there this year from Germany. He met his cowgirl there, married her, and eventually they moved to the US together with their two kids.

Maybe I can add a bit to the confusion

Although the Spyderco Bug, Honeybee and Grasshopper originally come with Stainless Steel scales,
there are indeed some variations :p though the die-hard SpyderNut would classify them as aftermarket versions.

Santa Fe Stoneworks provided for each of the three versions with MOP (mother of pearl) and BMOP (black mother of pearl) scales added. No longer to be found on SFS's website, there are remainders on Knifecenter here and there, for instance ...

Those look different then the one I had in mind, but they sure are cool too!

But while checking out that site you linked I discovered another Spyderco I really like (which is rare, I'm not a big fan of the ostrich-head blade shape personally); the Kiwi3.

It never ends, does it?

Well, sometimes the Spyderbug bites really hard :D:frantic:

One of my favorites, and "legal" in germany either :rolleyes_revamped: If you're interested in the "stag scales" version, production of these will end this year
What I like even more, is the original Kiwi series with myriads of scale materials :bounce: and a back lock. Hard to get now; I've got a modest four of these  If you want to go GREEN with envy, visit Paul Beretta's site here ;) That's quite a collection with even some one-of-a-kinds and special aftermarket models :(

    Holly crap

& I thought I was bad with my <15 knifes collection :bounce:

There are some really nice ones in that link.

I didn't notice the lack of a lock at first though, but did later which protected me form ordering one. I just can't imagine using a non-locking knife anymore, I think I was 12 the last time I used one of those.

But I guess now I'm gonna have to look for an original Kiwi *sighs*

I just really want my Leek to show up here so I can decide if I'm gonna collect those too first, it's been 3 weeks already! :stomp:

edit/ps: since we can't seem to stay on topic anyways; do you have a picture of your 4 first gen Kiwis perhaps?

Well it arrived yesterday and I'm looking through it today :)

I will try to post it on Monday. But I am up to my arse in snow at the moment and I don't know if I can get to the post office.

Hm, this passaround is supposed to be EU, so we don't have to worry about customs. Though Norway is a destination of the box without being a member of the EU, they are part of european economic area.
But tinker gnome will rule in this situation as the instigator.

Hello alukardfe, nothing against you, your country or the old count, but Toemke is right :( We'd like to leave customs out of here (I'm pretty sure bureaucrats don't even have a category for classifying a passaround).

    I'm truly sorry ... :nah_disagree:

Glad you got it. Two days ago I got a notification re my subscription of a UK mag which announced possible delays "due to adverse weather conditions", so dig yourself out of the snow first!

And don't forget the gang is hungry for pics! :D:frantic:

Yeah, a delay because of the weather can happen, but show us the goods already [IMG]

Good luck with the snow, it looks truly terrible in the UK on tv!
