So I’ll probably get it per bicycle. I have a basket mounted on it where the box should fit into.

Don't you have Tinkers address so you can check on him?

Although I'm not sure if he would appreciate it, he always knows how to reach us if he wants to after all. Heck, he has all of our addresses, lmao.

I noticed him come online a few times without posting before he went MIA completely. There was a request in this thread about updating the list on page one already at that time that he didn't respond to. To me this indicates that he ignores this thread/forum by choice, not because he isn't able to reply, so perhaps we should just respect that choice, idk [IMG]

I suspect he's just fed up with everyone whining how long it takes before they get the box to be honest :p

At this point we can only speculate, the truth is we don't know what's going on in a person's live. Perhaps he just has too much going on to be bothered with an internet forum at the moment. I just hope he's alright & that he'll be back to receive the box back once it completes it's round, it would be nice to see the before and after pictures & evolution of the box come together.

What mole said. If you don't know him, you could send him a text message first, asking if it would be ok to call. Or leave it for him to call you if he wants to talk about it.

Internet forums can be a slightly odd place for socialising - you can converse and speak to people without ever getting to know them, and while you can easily learn about various posters through what they say here, without a separate personal dialogue you have no idea if they reciprocate that knowledge or recognition - I think it would be fair to say a lot of us know Jon's situation in life while expecting that he has no real knowledge about the vast majority of us.

Forums also have fairly transient populations as people come and go over time - generally this is natural and while it will often be noticed some posters are not so active, it is just accepted and nothing is made of it and we generally won't know whether they just got bored with the forum, found other hobbies and occupations to fill their time or have been pulled away for other reasons.

I guess what I am getting at is that people do come and go fairly regularly, but I wouldn't necessarily worry. If someone has been in contact with Tinker Gnome outwith the forum then I don't think sending a quick message would be a bad plan, but at the same time I wouldn't go too out of my way to get hold of him in case he has made the decision to leave himself.

As for the passaround, I figure we can keep everything moving until our missing organiser reappears with a little bit of personal organisation. Without trying to take over I will draw up a plan in the next post, and if there are any issues or adjustments to me made, feel free to chime in so we can keep everything moving.

The plan in Tinker Gnomes absence

Okay, first the disclaimer to say that I am not trying to take control (and really don't particularly want to) but in lieu of Tinker Gnome I figure it best to put a plan down on paper to try and keep everything organised - I will go on the premise that this post will be semi-official and will be the plan unless anyone has any issues or edits to make, in which case I will edit this to reflect them.

We will stick to the running order as posted in post #2 at the start of the thread, obviously without Tinker Gnome collecting and distributing addresses it will be up to us, so I would ask everyone to contact the members after yourself in the list to get the address of the next recipient. If you do not get a response after a reasonable time then we can assume that the member has backed out of the passaround for the time being, and you should contact the following member in the list.

If anyone has any questions or problems with the plan, shout out and I can easily edit, reword or clarify anything I have said.

If nobody has any issues or problems and everyone agree's, I can send out a link to this post to everyone still on the list as a heads up.

That sounds like a good plan to me. I can update the second post every now and then.
