So they've finally passed the laws allowing us to import one handed opening knives:dance:
.... and the Aussie dollar is really low.:(

So what will you import or buy from our local online dealers?

What have you been lusting after for years that is now within your reach and not marked up for the secondary market?

All I know is there is gonna be a lot of knife orders in the next 24 hours.

U42, I don't mean to be the eternal optimist shovelling through the sh_ite saying there has to be a donkey here some where but just saying that the AUD pacific peso is not at an all time low.
How many folding blades you thinking' of buying mate? ... LOL ...
Thanks for starting this thread and for the heads up ... :D
Oh yeah what will I buy ?
I'll have to wipe the grin off my face first. But yeah ... I definitely need more folders.

Brother, I will refrain from saying what I really want to say about that "law"...but geez...a restriction like that can do horrid things to a person like make them tote two Katanas, a myriad of other weapons on their person, owning a block of hairy cheese while dressed in an orange sweater... I needn't say anything more sir.:frantic:

Seriously though, I thought ALL was well in the knife world down under...I'm happy for you guys NOW! But uh...Cheeser bro, were you exempt from that because well...you know.;)
Be safe please, and nice seeing you mate!

    I'm reeeeally excited about this!

I bought GITD Manix from the first EDCF batch and it was confiscated by AUS customs.

Long story short, the nice customs lady allowed me the option of sending it back to the EDCF store without any penalty, as long as I sent customs a return paid envelope.
I did this, and it all worked out ok in the end.

But I've been hankering for an EDCF GITD Manix ever since.

..time to start saving for one again now that AUS import laws allow this knife

Awesome news, I'm so happy for you guys. I hope the Brits will follow suit although it doesn't seem likely.

Not sure if you guys have any restrictions length-wise, but if not: I have small to medium size hands and the 0452CF fits me really well in case you want to add that one to your list as well ;)

If I understood it right the problem was not to own or carry locking folders (like in the UK) but to import them.
Makes it nearly the same though as buying customs is not possible for everyone...
I'd recomend a Kershaw Chill for the start ;)

Yay, about bloody time they got reasonable, very happy to hear it.

As for what knife to buy to celebrate, go big or go home...

    Something along this line:

If only I had some knife money to spend. So is this a federal level import law? I think Queensland crazy carry laws might still make it interesting for flippers etc. Will have to check out the weapons legislation again.

    Also, huzzah!
