my gentleman's knife is my Laguiole.
the daily carry is old in the photo but the Laguiole is my suit knife.
The two that see the most carry time are the Lone Wolf Loveless City Knife and a Moki Arrow.
In the strictest sense this is correct (I think), but even loosely defined, about half of the knives in this thread - just because they're small - aren't a gentleman's knife. I'd still put a Mnandi in the gentleman's category (it''s my own carry), but it's not really one either.
doktorziplok's knives are, 1) The Fallkniven TK3 that is a 'Back Lock' knife ..
And, 2) The Morris that is a 'Friction Folder' ..
Both knives are not 'Slip Joints' .
My Eickhorn/Solingen Gentleman-1 is a 'Liner lock' bearing the namesake, perhaps because it's small ?
I believe that a true Gentleman can produce any knife to without imposing a threat .
BE WELL .. GH
I've got a couple of knives in the gentlemanly rotation.
A red alox Cadet, a red Vic Classic, a Pat Crawford Keychain Cutter(EDCF groupbuy), and a Schrade stockman pattern that I've had for at least 20 years.
The Case Peanuts are nice, but my favorites are still the:
Victorinox Mini Champ
I'm in the process of picking up a Sanrenmu 6261 with a wooden handle, and that one looks like it might be a contender too.
Griffin's Eickhorn/Solingen Gentleman-1 looks pretty sweeeeeeeeeeet.....I think that one just made the list!
I carry a Kershaw Ace when I'm "cleaned up". It's small, razor sharp, and has a very slim profile in the pocket, so it works really well in dress pants.
Your photo didn't come through, Foley. I'd sure like to see your Laguiole ...
The first knife that ever went into my pocket was an old Case Trapper, and I still have a soft spot for them today. Would love to have one in damascus and mammoth ivory.
I have always liked the Kershaw Double Cross. I just ordered the Kershaw Doulb Duty. I love the one handed opening, locking blades, all in a package that looks like a slipjoint.

I'll try again
nothing of mine from flickr seems to be postable sorry
Case with the mother of pearl inlay is always impressive but also like the Benchmade nagara for the price
Gerber Stockman CLS.
Gotta go with a nice slippie - even better if it's a 2 blade. Check out the GEC #56
I usually use a Kershaw Sapphire, unless I'm wearing a bunad, which ofc has its own knife.
The sapphire have been edc'ed for a couple of years earlier, and have done everything from skinning a reindeer to cleaning my nails, so its a bit worn, but that just adds some character
