I know that Sunwayman make the M11R Ti dream,...apart from that, I can't think of another, is there?

I'm surprised that the flashlight market isn't a wash with them by now, surely adding a vial or two in the body isn't beyond these factories capabilities,.....being able to find a torch in the pitch dark is a good selling point too.

I think part of the reason is that in the US, the use of tritium is regulated.

I'm not familiar with this name, I assume that this is a custom made light rather than a main stream company??

The Portinga Firefly, a recent kickstarter, has trits. Not quite a factory light though I guess.

Ah, thanks,......somehow that light had totally passed me by, funny that, considering that I do like Sunwayman lights in general and own a few of them.

I don't mind them not being factory lights as such, it's the final cost that I'm thinking about, all the custom ones are bound to work out more expensive I guess.

I'm not sure how they are getting away with selling the lights with trits. They do not have a license to sell tritium so their entire campaign was a bit risky. It could have gotten pulled at any time. I guess the NRC doesn't check the Kickstarter site

Made in china, sold on kickstarter. Two things that seem able to circumvent a lot of legislation. That said, it's a nice product and project, and here in the UK, selling tritium is much easier anyway so I probably don't see it in the same light.

I can't remember the actual material used but the Olight baton series lights have the glow in the dark ring inside the head of the light which makes it easy to see in the dark if you drop it.

It's easy to sell tritium in the US, so long as it is in a watch or gunsites. The NRC has determined all other uses to be "frivolous" (I believe that's the word they used) and therefore prohibited.

From what I hear, tritium can be purchased in bait shops there in the UK. I'm considering a trip there this fall and will have to check out a few bait shops.

It's been a while, but Nitecore used to sell the Smart PD lights with tritium slots, but the tritium had to be installed separately.

    Interesting.

Yeah, I've seen it here in army surplus, some camping/hiking stores (Blacks etc) and it's readily available in whatever form you like from mad nuclear scientists.

Yeah, I know, I do own some Olights myself. Like with all these glow in the dark rings, they only work for a short time AFTER the light has been turned on,....I'd like to be able to see where the light is 24/7 basically.
