I like seeing multiple JR carbines being posted. I own one in 9mm, they’re ugly as hell but great guns. I haven’t posted here in a while, once I figure out how to post pictures again I’ll post up my MCX virtus.
I’d recommended building your own AR and put the extra cash in a quality scope. All you need are a few tools and a punch set and your good to go. BCA has a complete upper in Wylde (shoots 223 and 5.56) around $230 (charge handle $20-$80ish and bolt carrier $80-$120ish not included) James Madison Tactical has a very nice one piece drop in trigger for under $100 3.5-4lb trigger (have it in 3 ARs and love it) PSA has complete lowers for Under $200 That’s a AR for under $700 and leaves you $500-$900 for some nice glass. I have experience with BCA (Bear Creek Armory) have a left hand side charge upper from them and runs flawlessly, PSA (Palmetto State Armory) has some nice complete uppers and lowers) I purchased my first AR and spent way to much on it, got into the game and saw how easy it is to build your own and have built 4. If you start with a complete upper and lower it makes it supper easy to put together. Just my 2 cents Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

come on man... what rig are you using that you actually need help getting a AK magazine out of the pouch. Take that silly thing off there LOL
I've got a BCM REECE-18 with the stainless barrel, a BCM 16" standard kmr duty style rifle, a DD V11 Pro, DD V7, and a DD V7SLW. They are all solid duty style rifles. the V11PRO is fairly accurate, pretty easily under 1 MOA and pushes 1/2 MOA with 69 and 77 gr bullets. The BCM with the stainless barrel is similar. I can get some 1/2 MOA groups with 69 gr SMKs. I don't like "milspec" triggers, including so called "good ones". I've swapped every rifle to a Geissele SD-E or in the case of the V11 Pro, I left the Geissele SD 3gun in it. Other than routine cleaning and oiling that's all I've done to any of the rifles and all have functioned wonderfully for me. If I had to start over I love the DD Furniture and the gray cerakote. I would probably re-buy the V7 SLW first and the BCM REECE second.
Nearly finished with my first build, just need some back up iron sights and I'll call it done. 300 BLK Aero precision upper & lower, Vortex Spitfire 3X prism scope, DD stock.
Picked up a Sight Mark 1-4x24 variable power to try out for the Carbine and moved the red dot to the pistol. Now, to zero them in. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

in praise of the low end AR15s....a the time I started shooting ARs in competition, you basically had a choice of Colt, or Armalite ....but times have changed... you don't really need a high end platform to get realistic performance... my last project was a Colt M4 lower on sale from Brownells, coupled with a DSArms front sight post upper with plastic hand guards, chrome lined barrel... I did add a RRA NM trigger ... I stuck an old 4x32 TA01 ACOG on it the other day to put some rounds through it at an indoor range with air conditioned 100yd range... without a full float fore end and shooting S&B M193 55 grain, it shot about 2 1/2" off a rest... sticking some 69 Sierra Match King Australian Outback in it several 3 shot groups under 1 1/4"... I have a couple of PSA AR pistol barrels (7 1/2 and 10 1/2) that hold an inch at 50yds with carry handle fixed sights
