Contact Will to get a new knock mechanism. The same thing happened to me and Will was very kind to mail me a new knock.
I think you're the first person I've seen on EDCF say that. I was starting to think I was alone. I used the Pilot for years and then switched to the Pentel Energel stick pen (with a cap) since I'm not fond of liquid gel ink stains on my pants- happened once and was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to remove with about 5 or 6 different cleaners. Now if the Energel click refill will work in a Maxmadco Ti (I'm going to try and make it work when Jim makes another batch), I'll be a super happy camper.
BTW you guys are such a bunch of bleeping enablers. I was bored this afternoon and read through the thread from the beginning. I hadn't even reached the end and my paypal had taken hits for a Ohto Rook and a Lamy Spirit pencil...
I know! I wasn't even aware I needed a new pen until I came here. Now I can't wait for Jim to make another batch of his Ti bolt pens, because one of them is going to be mine.
Thanks! Had a look at the Lamy range and just added a Lamy Scribble for myself, I prefer the shorter stubbie size, The Lamy Spirit I bought yesterday was as a gift for my dad, my hands don't work well with such thin pens/pencils but he'd love something looking as sleek as that.
I'm surprised more people have not spoken up for the Energel. It's a brilliant gel refill. Since lurking on some pen forums I've also tried the gel refills from Uni and Zebra, which are also very good and I feel ahead of the Pilot G2. Hmm... it's gonna take some effort to get the Energel to fit in a Maxmadco (if it can even work); it's quite a different format from the Parker-style refill that the Maxmadco takes. Good news is that the Maxmadco ships with an Itoya gel refill that is very good.
I've got a Schmidt P900 (fine) refill in my Boker 0.50 pen. It's ok but I would love a better refill, requiring less pressure and more easily flowing. Any ideas?
