I've the middle one as well, but the Safari model and have to say that mine doesn't look as pretty as yours anymore. The silver on the clip is nearly completely gone and the cap has quite some cracks and doesn't look as pretty. Still the pen holds up after roughly 8-10 years of use... Great pen.
finished the ink within 5 days... Normally I use a converter, but had these laying around and decided to use them. Finished the second one nearly.
They're great pens, that's true. Mine is holding up since 5 years and shows no wear at all. I thought the clear ones are only available as the model vista. Never found a demonstrator from the safari line. But overall they have both the same shape, so maybe i'm wrong.
This was a recent gift from Nekolf. Three mode Pilot in Maple with three modes red, Black and .5mm pencil. Has become my goto at work.
i have some questions, but don't think it deserves a new thread. this is supposed to be full titanium, i'm a little curious what you all think? IMG_20150324_192444 by chewyicecube, on Flickr IMG_20150324_192414 by chewyicecube, on Flickr
reason for me asking is the tip of the pen, seems different. let me explain what happened; i bought the full ti tuff writer, it was working fine with the fisher refill, tried it with the schimdt, and it decides to not work propoerly. i got in touch with roman, who suggested that i send back the pen with the new refill and let them sort it out. i did, then it came back like that, though it works fine now with the schmidt refill, i'm not too sure about the tip being Ti, looks too diff in color and i have a alu retrakt which matches the tip in color tone, and there are a couple of small chips on the tip and the screw on part. just wanted to make sure before i check with roman. hope you guys can give me some slightly more definitive insights.
It is even engraved! Very cool gift by Nekolf . Congrats. “Knicks and dull edges are abominations, so use knives and hatchets for nothing but they were made for.” – Horace Kephart, 1917
I don't have this pen and am unfamiliar with the Titanium model.. but I did follow it for awhile when it was first coming out. I thought the tips were supposed to be stainless steel? Perhaps on the Titanium one they're suppose to be titanium?
it was most def Ti, it was matched in tone/ shade of color with the body. looks like i will have to check with roman. thanks.
